Though, I really have no excuse not to try to learn Japanese.

True and can't help it in that case. I semi- thought of giving Japanese a try, to learn, once.
Dropped the idea as soon as I learned of how much kanji you had to learn. Motivation was completely destroyed.

Kinda wish I had tried to keep up my German knowledge from school. It’s the only language I’ve really studied to learn, and now it’s almost entirely gone. Ich verstehe ein Bisschen, aber das ist alles.

For what though? I don‘t think it‘s a particularly important language to know, unless you want to live in germany, austria or switzerland.

Maybe not important per se, but still seems a waste to let a language fall into oblivion when I actually knew it pretty well at one point.
