Thinking about it, 2018 isn't being a bad year at all. Jujutsu and Act-age having little repercusion because they are still unknown and Viz ignores them, and the lot of new titles which have been axed make it to look like a bad year but...

2018: 2 titles (Act-age and Jujutsu)
2017: 2 titles (WNL and Dr.Stone; you can add RxL for 3 titles but...)
2016: 3 titles (Yuuna-san, Kimetsu and Neverland, 4 titles with Boruto)
2015: 1 title (Black Clover, 2 titles counting Sesuji)
2014: 2 titles (Hinomaru and Hero Academia)
2013: 1 title (World Trigger, 2 titles counting Isobe)
2012: 4 titles (Haikyuu, Assasination Classroom, Saiki, and Shokugeki)
2011: 1 title (Nisekoi)
2010: 0 titles
2009: 3 titles (Kuroko no Basket, Beelzebub, Medaka Box)
2008: 3 titles (Nurarihyon, Toriko, Bakuman, 4 titles if counting Psyren)
2007: 1 title (Sket Dance)
2006: 1 title (To Love-Ru, 2 titles counting Mx0)
2005: 1 title (Neuro)

2018 even can still end as year with 3 or even 4 titles, depending of next serialization round or Alice suddenly skyrocketing

PD: Seeing this trend, 2019 or 2020 are going to be big years. More like 2020 tbh

A PV will appear in the last episode of the anime but with the surprise of an 2nd season announcement.

Worth it :3c

If Jump can manage to land at least another series that stays this year, that would be great for the magazine's health, but I'm overall quite satisfied with the way things turned out. I welcome Act-Age and Jujutsu as additions to the lineup, I think they're both quite fresh and fun, I enjoy seeing what younger authors come up with.

Yeah... I don’t think we should count RxL at all :teehee

So, to bring the topic again, any ideas or wishes for upcoming series? Or any particular one shot to get serialized

more like they're doing 2 shows in the same season right after a 26 episode show finishes and are probably low on resources

Anything as long as it's good. :catshrug

Jump probably needs a comedy now but it isn't obligatory or anything like that. It seems to be quite hard to make a funny comedy series.

I think the magazine could use a grand scale adventure fantasy, something with a huge world like One Piece or Hunter x Hunter, but we have all seen that it's hard to make something on that level, properly.

The magazine could also use a sci-fi series. I'd like to see some steampunk in Jump as well, but that seems to be quite rare in manga overall.

Setting up a new sports series for the future might be a good idea.

But there's only so much they can do with what's left of this year, so maybe next time we'll see at least one of these things.

I've pretty much already accepted that we'll get a decent to good looking first episode or two the the rest will be slideshow central like Ballroom was. Oh well, at least it got an anime in the first place I guess .

I'm imagining a cricket manga with 100+ chapters per match, also the first 30 or so chapters are all infodumps explaining the rules.

I don't think anything will ever beat Akagi's 20 year long mahjong game but cricket could probably have the best chance of doing it.

A sports manga about chess boxing, fencing or oil wrestling.
I think oil wrestling may be a bit much. I would like to see another sword fighting sports manga I actually rather enjoyed Kurogane while it ran in jump.

Just give me break dancing and I'll be happy. Even if it's a short series, but break dancing with the dynamic art of the ballroom e yokoso manga would be insane.

I don't see how it would be any worse than To Love Ru or Yuuna. I think the bigger problem is has Jump ever had a successful sports series with a female cast? All the big ones I can think of are following male teams (or stuff like Straighten Up with mix gendered sports).

A cricket manga could be interesting, my top choices would still be surfing and ice hockey (I dont expect Amano's HOT to be one of them tho), heck I would even love someone doing a paintball manga, now that would be something

I'm actually kind of surprised we haven't seen a paintball/survival game manga in the magazine, it was a bit of a trend for a while.
