Food Wars did a few months back. The cover had some sports thing and if you put the two together it made a larger picture. Now that I think about it it may have been when part 2 of season 3 started...

Stop feeding into propaganda. That game had open betas, character trailers and everything. Hell it was pushed more than MHA OJ's which didn't start getting promotion until months before its release and didn't even have an open beta. If Bamco had no faith in the game they wouldn't even have given it this much attention.

Honestly I’m amazed arena fighters sell at all. They’re not *that* popular with casual fans and competitively don’t really draw much of anyone in. Like I stan for Black Clover and even I wouldn’t have expected Quartet Knights to shift many copies

Xenoverse and the Ultimate Storm games sold pretty well. People like arena fighters if they're flashy enough.

Yep, the game was barely promoted in TV. You'd rarely see it in commercials even when the anime was airing while instead Naruto shinobi striker and MHA OJ ads were being played very often in TV Tokyo's commercials. Like I mentioned a few days ago, the game wasn't even up for preorders in PSN two days before being released. Character trailers don't mean much when fans aren't even aware the game exists.

Bandai dropped the ball real hard.
