Discussion Could Zeldris beat Escanor?

Excluding “the one”, I think he can.

Zeldris’s power is getting hyped up quite a bit in this latest chapter.

And even then. Zeldris magic combined with the demon kings could very well give Zeldris the ability to defeat even The One.

If you discount The One then yes, he can. Can he survive The One? It could potentially be the case if he has The Ruler+ the Innate Magic he's gonna showcase next chapter but yet again, I think The One is on a whole other league so it's doubtful. I'd say that he can't at the moment but the answer will be more clear by the time we get to see what Zel and The One can fully do.

If the Demon King's magic can neutralize even a Grace like Flash, Escanor has no way to beat Zeldris except through sheer physical strength. I'll wait to see what Zeldris' innate magic is before saying that he can beat even the One.

Zeldris is likely about to solo all 3 (Merlin, Ludo, Escanor). What is a single Escanor gonna accomplish now?

With God (Inversion), he essentially becomes untouchable to those that don't have a special haxx power (Meliodas), those that can't give healing (Ban, Goddesses) & those that aren't of God status (SD, DK, Meliodas True Power).

Zeldris should be able to literally take that Holy Sword Escanor attack with his eyes closed with God (Inversion) & then converted it to power for himself.

That means Ban could potentially fight Zeldris later on since he knows about the Ruler but i don't think that Zel has the ruler of DK power it seems somehow different.

As for The One, that remains to be seen. It probably depends what exactly the effects of Zel's magic are and whether Escanor can counter them or not.

The Ruler doesn't affect physical attacks.

It was stated that the ruler inverts ALL attacks to strengthening or healing. Nothing contradicts this.

I am implying that the Ruler is described as inverted all manners of attack and weakness.

As stated by Meliodas.

Physical attack is a weakness, it is also inverted into healing.
It was a general point, not a specific one like Full Counter power for example.

I believe the implication was that it included physical attacks. Chapter 272 ban spoke of wilds attack in the same breath as his snatch and Mel’s full counter. Furthermore, he simply turned it off. Implying it was always on. Wilds success in deflecting the dk maybe more attributed to this then just the boost in power he forced at the expense of his suicide tactic
