Ask the neighborhood rodent expert what to do.... zimbardo
Easiest way is to lay poison (but be careful with young kids/pets who may try to eat it), or hire someone to remove them.

Traps work, obviously, but they might not be enough if you have a lot of rodents (and rodents can breed fast).
If you do go the trap route, remember to use chocolate and not cheese.

Chocolate with nuts/caramel/that kinda thing works far better than the stereotypical cartoon bait.

I was afraid to say poison...cause the possibility they die in the walls...that stench.
Yeah i know about the nut thing...peanutbutter with some mashed bread would work to.

Glue traps are the worst. I used to live somewhere where a mouse got in my apartment and my landlady gave glue traps and the little guy was stuck and didn't die :sad My roommate got the scary guy in the building of "take care of it" :sad

Snap traps on the otherhand are WAY better!

Most likely I’ll hire pest control yeah. Pretty sure it’s covered by the house insurance too. Just hope they can locate the place of entry so they don’t keep popping back in every other month.

Only heard some very light pitter-patter now and then until now, thought it was just some house mouse on a visit. Then last night while I was up translating a children’s book late at night I heard heavier scratching and heavy rat-feet running in-between the floors. Never had to take care of these things myself before (though I helped lay traps etc in my childhood home) so hiring pros is probably the best, before they gnaw any electrical wires off.

In other news, next week is my last week of work before a two-month paternity leave, until the baby comes. Because I’m worth it.

I've not had mice for a while, but when I did, I used the tip traps - that way I could catch the mice and release them outside.

Mice ain't never done anything wrong to me [which is more than what I can say in return]

We've had a lot of mice in the yard, we kept them away by pouring coffee-grounds at certain places. Keeps the mice away for a few months, also fertilized our yard pretty well.

Nah, do not kill them.
Just include cats to the family.
That usually does the trick

Shitto fakku. The moths have eaten thorough my 120 euro super duper mega fancy merino wool underwear, and now I'm freezing in regular long boxers.
