the reaction to David's first 3 chapters was mostly very negative.

MHA's reception I remember over a few boards being a bit mixed after ch 1 but very positive as it went on.

I remember most saying “eeeeh” at first. Now I’m seeing people like it.
And I more so talking about 1st impressions. Most of the series that stay I see people start to come around, but for most first chapters I see see a mixed bag of reactions.
From the link above I see some people were complaining about Horikoshi’s art and storytelling in tHE 1st chapter of MHA.

So apparently with the new Jump service they will now just add new series to the line up. So we’ll get all new series translated past the first 3 chapters.
Wonder if this means they’ll start catching up with jujustu and act age

It's crazy to think we'll now have almost all of wsj available legally the same day is Japan, they're missing Yuuna and the two recent gag series but I can't imagine them ever being picked up unless Japan turns into a full time battle shounen or something.

Gg sumou is less inportany than a ghost and 2 gags series

So that one step for kaisen and act age to eventually get an english volume release.

Can't believe I forgot Zumou, it's my favourite too. I guess it's just too far along and too niche for them, especially since it's got a good chance of ending next year.

Also it might have been mentioned already in the weekend announcement but they're also changing the release time, now new wsj series chapters will come out at 12pm Pacific Time on Sundays (aka 8pm GMT, or I think 5am Monday Japan time).

What do you mean by blowing up?

Its unclear how they will measure success since there is actually no way for them to make money off of people who simply dont pay for the digital vault.Since every new chapter is free for 3 weeks, and people might not care to want backlog, then yeah. I guess it could be a failure if people just dont use the site, but it seems unclear thta people wont go.

I guess, perhaps, we will know what ends up as a winner and failure, when they start discriminating against which series will get digital/printed volume releases, and which ones wont, as we've seen in the past with several series having no print release or otherwise (Cross Manage, Stealth Symphony, etc) perhaps as an indicator of which series were popular and which werent.
