One thing I can't help but wonder is how exactly we haven't heard before that the SDC goes around branding people. We had a few episodes about blake not being a fan of SDC stuff relating faunus.

Really enjoyed the Episode.

Loved their fight against the Giant Robot.

Finally Qrow did something good in this season.

Also bit disappointed that Adam's mask is really a scar.

Also getting a feeling that he will turn an ally for team RWBY and die while helping them.

And there it is, the grim are coming as expected. Those atlas soldiers are astonishingly incompetent. I guess this is a throwback to the line about the gang being glad of them being in charge rather than someone else. And I bet the grim arrive just as rwby and the others destroy the gundam.... A tad predictable but it might make for a fun development. It doesn't seem like there are that many episodes left, I was hoping for neo/cinder shenanigans before the end. I guess they kinda have to do something now because if the gang makes it to atlas then cinder and neo will have a hard time reaching them.

Aren't Cinder and Neo going straight to Atlas, not Argus?

Miss Malachite have said for Cinder that RWBY probably already left to Atlas so she has no real reason to go there Yeah that worth mentioning that Cinder was fighting Neo 3 weeks after RWBY left Haven I wasn't setting myself that Neo or Cinder will appear in the final because it doesn't make sense for her catching up to them in Argus.

Maybe we will see What Neo and Cinder are up to but that's about it ( And I would prefer to see what Tyrian and Watts are planning )

Hmmm enjoyable episode.

The fight to defeat the giant robot wasn't that interesting to me.

But defeating Adam was good,he is dead his purpose is fulfilled unless it's a fake death like Cinder's.

As expected Grimms arrive seems this season will end with our protagonists defeating them.

Also if you see the ED you will notice Adam's scar is "SDC' aka Schnee Dust Company

So they did this to Adam and turned him like this.Maybe they will the antagonists in the next season.

Okay, I had to catch up with the last two episodes, and I'm more than satisfied with them. The fight against Caroline was not bad, but I won't waste any words on it, because it just paled compared to the fight against Adam. Really enjoyed every bit of the fight, even though I considered Adam to be kinda stronger. Maybe I'm just underestimating Blake and Yang, who know. Adam was also driven by rage, so there is that. I would also have preferred the White Fang still being a thing with Adam at the top and being killed as the WF leader, but well, that door has been closed already in V5.

RT really put quite some effort in the fight against Adam. The camera work, stills, sounds/noises (especially during the fight in the woods), cuts, choreo, nicely timed slow motions, Kenjutsu, Taijutsu, team work, one on ones, everything which makes one of the best fights in the whole series. And what I seriously didn't expect - but welcome so much - is the fact that Yang and Blake both went for the direct kill and accomplished it. Amazing. :zomg

Ok, seing the episode.... Wow, this was good.

The grim bit went as expected. Cordova caused a panic, robot destroyed, no defense for the city. Its a repeat of the beacon events except cinder didn't have to deliver a speech. Not sure of how the gang will stop a threat of this magnitude though. Certainly the godzilla grim is dangerous but I kinda feel like the smaller swarm can do more damage more quickly. Maybe the army has the means to deal with the swarm with their own aircraft? in which case the issue will be dealing with the big one.

Ruby's silver eyes will play a part here but they can't possibly deal with every grim there. I assume she will destroy the large one.

As for the adam fight, damn, that was ballsy. I honestly didn't think they would kill him. Even while watching the fight I kinda thought adam might come to his senses. Then again he clearly was too far gone. I did think he would eventually join salem also but apparently that isn't going to be a thing either. I am thoroughly annoyed that weiss was not a part of this plot point though. If adam was always supposed to have that scar then she clearly has a stake in this. At a minimum blake should have mentioned this before to weiss. I am also surprised in general that blake and yang had it in them to kill adam. I guess it makes sense blake would have it in her to some extent since she is the most experienced combatant of rwby but yang being capable of this is unexpected.

I expect we will see a lot more branded faunists at atlas.

Ok, that is a particularly stupidly placed weak point for that force field. Did they just assume grim wouldn't even hit it by accident? I also hope that force field was working underwater, its bad enought that the majority of the grim we have seen can merely fly over it. I suppose there is a small chance that the reason for such a crappy force field to be around exists...

Atlas engineers forgot that Grimms can fly :P

It was against the Sea Grimms that can come out of the water... Shame that we saw two Sea Grimms so far and one of them could actually fly :P

A simple tweak like Atlas base acts as a beacon that creates a force shield around whole Argus would fix it ( and show Atlas being really ahead in terms of technology ) <<< Then Leviathan destroying it with sheer force would prove how dangerous he is...

Also Ruby is rubbing me the wrong way again...

- First, you're not a Huntress Ruby you're still a Student :P

- Second We all know that Ruby is reckless but now she's putting everyone in " We will fight that thing " while everyone is low on Aura if something happens to anyone it's on Ruby for me

I could buy it being meant for smaller sea grim but even smaller sea grim can just hit the towers. The whole thing is literally made out of easily reachable weak points. And hitting a single one causes the whole thing to collapse. We are talking christmas lights logic here.

The first thing I thought of was why not have the leviathan destroy the force field by sheer force...

I gotta say, I love everyone's expressions when ruby is saying they can stall it. They are all looking at ruby like she is a madman. Which she is. Much smaller grim have shown they are immense threats... gotta wonder if she is planning to nuke the thing with her silver eyes...

If not much will change in the finale then Volume 6 probably will end up on my third place as for favourite Volume.

Yes..

Quite frankly it would be an ok episode if this wasn't a finale but as a finale, it somehow disappointing but when it comes to RWBY finales it's still one of the better ones..

Edit: Another Blake song and its duo with Yang :zomg Still no solo song...

oh, ok. For a finale it is a tad disappointing. It lacked.... dunno, action? We basically saw the gang ride to the giant grim to nuke it. Only weiss, ren and jaune were kinda useful there and even then in a extremely limited fashion. And why couldn't ren use his semblance for longer? Before he covered a whole train with jaune's support. Add to that that cordova got off too easily from the senseless crap she pulled. In spite of the fact that it was her who caused the grim to approach argus. And the episode itself was too short. 15 minutes for a finale is... Just not enough. They could have easily had the rest of the gang do other stuff for 5 minutes.

I did like atlas though. It having two levels is likely going to be a huge plot point with wealth inequality and second class citizens....

Also:

Bumblebee fans: Wait, they didn't scissor this volume!? REEEEEEEEEE

And finally.... I just laughed at salem making a flying monkey army. I assume each of those is going to be particularly strong if cinder is taking the time to make them herself. But is that what atlas is guarding against? Salem appears to just be making her army after all. but alternatively the army would be laying in wait of.... Vacuo? That sounds odd. Alternatively they might be getting to invade somewhere. But that literally only leaves vacuo. I guess tyrian and watts were successful?

Quite frankly you're so wrong if anything BB shippers are happy with this Volume and what Arryn has told ( but I take it with the grain of salt ) if anything the salty group are BS shippers are people that basically don't wanna see it...

Also, I'm the only one that can see City of Atlas ( the upper ) falling onto Mantle the lower section ( Faunus? )

Flying Monkeys are a reference to Wizard of Oz again ( need to read what that means exactly )

Edit: Unpopular opinion Neo and Cinder new design are trash :P

Oh... that's it for the V6 finale? Bummer... I thought we would be way farther in terms of plot. The Salem gang barely did anything this volume...

The shield was probably one of the most funny things I've ever seen in RWBY. Did they ever perform any kind of quality tests on them (probably only against salmons...)? Seems like any Huntsress/man with a decent powerful Semblance can wreck that shit (if we exaggerate a lil bit). :lmao

I liked how Ruby succeeded and failed to beat that Grimm, it was okay for the main character. You can do much worse for a MC. On the other hand, I'm not a big fan of Caroline giving them a pass now. Nothing changed from her point of view, so this felt kinda forced. Not to mention that her scenes felt kinda silly and took away the seriousness of the fight. It was a bad executed transition in my opinion. In any case, Caroline needs to be given a dishonourable discharge asap. Someone at her position can't just bahave the way she did like in the recent couple of episodes. :fail

Qrow... uselss. I don't know if I should cry or laugh in despair.

Atlas looks outstanding. That's amazing stuff there. :zomg

Good volume overall for me. The pace was very slow though, but I think I mentioned it in almost every post of mine, haha.

Actually, I give this one a pass ( sure some more time could be used )

But Caroline heard that Ruby and Co. are going to attack Levi ( :P ) and protect the city even when Atlas soldiers informed them they will not assist them.

I find it funny that no one looks at themselves and is like " Was I wrong " Except Blake that was thinking that Argus situation is her fault..

And that's a wrap for Volume 6.

Story-wise, it had some pretty good ideas which I liked, but paired that with some decidedly odd decision making from some characters. Pacing wasn't too bad, though could've been a bit better in places. From the way the opening episode went, it seemed like the trip to Atlas would be the extent of the volume, which was how it played out, though I sort of wish that it would've defied the expectation and progressed the overall story some more.

Fight animation and choreography was much improved for sure, good enough at this point that I don't have much to complain about anymore, with one main exception... I want to see the characters' signature stances and moves back, eg. Weiss with her rapier held in close. They have managed go get Ruby looking much more like her old self though with how she holds her scythe.

It's not the same as Monty's style, but it's a nice return to giving the action some 'punch'. As a point of comparison rather than criticism, Monty tended to have more flow between the motions, and typically had a certain rhythm to what was happening (close your eyes and listen to the sounds from the fights in the first 2 volumes, it's often like a percussion line, beat, syncopation and all)--not the most realistic for an actual fight, don't want to be predictable after all, but more artistic and understandable from someone who was a dancer (and I vaguely remember him saying once that he'd animate the fight to the music). The V6 fights on the other hand, have more slight delays in the motions, giving more emphasis and weight to the 'regular' impacts, which Monty tended not to do so much, other than with the heavier hits that would stagger the opponent. Whichever is preferred... is up to viewer. :)

The flashbacks in the last episode was a very nice touch. The happy moments, the sad ones, and finally a glimpse of Summer. :thumbs
