I’m disappointed that the game lacks so many newer series(honestly out of the classic series, the only series I’m disappointed not being represented is Gintama)

But yeah, as others said, this game is clearly targeting a western and worldwide market more than past games. So that means, lots of Naruto, lots of Dragon Ball, lots of One Piece, lots of Bleach. Etc. though I’m slightly shocked that MHA doesn’t have more characters with how huge it is in the West currently.

Sigh, they did dub the 9 DLC characters a “Season 1”, so I guess there’s still hope for lots of more characters being added.
Wouldn’t hold my breath for the series that are really obscure world wide, like a World Trigger

Toriko has had the biggest fall. From being one of 3 main characters of previous game to not being in Jump Force roster.
Quoting myself to answer the following posts about Jump Force being focused to Western fans. It adds even more surprise for me since Toriko is well known in West.

We could even make some think about Jump Force representation, Jump series, and West. Almost all Jump Force franchises are from the 90s, while the only 00s franchises are the ''Big 3'' (which only Bleach debuted on 00s), and maybe Death Note.

Some stuff I'm thinking right now:
-I thought at least Kinnikuman was also known in West.
-Was Dragon Quest Dai no Daiboken known in West?
-The status of the other 00s franchises (Hitman Reborn, Gintama, Toriko, D-Grayman mainly). They are supposed to be known in West since they are 00s franchises which were airing in the internet and communication age anyways (and at least in USA the 3 of them got their animes aired, didn't they?).
-People still thinking in Medaka relevance when it only sold 5 million copies and has always been a really minor title.

Well, we still have the 9 DLCS. My bet is:
1. Toriko. 2. Raoh (FotNS). 3. Kinnikuman. 4. Bakugou. 5. Tsuna. 6. Koro-sensei. 7. Gintoki. 8. Allen Walker 9. Joseph Joestar (yes, I know I haven't put Hiei on the list, he could go over Kinnikuman).

PD: For me, the best way of celebrating Jump 50th anniversary is to add 80s and 90s hits in Mangaplus. At least they are adding Kenshin, but...I'd want Hokuto no Ken, Slam Dunk or Saint Seiya too.

So for TOC I assume Hinomaru and Jimoto ga Japan are below Ne0lation and Chainsaw? The pic doesnt seem complete.

We will see next week, but not good for either of them.

The dark hero era or whatever it was called seems to be crushing down
In the dark hero era, most of the the successful jump mangas don't have a dark hero, so this would be a blessing.

We are getting Jimoto no Japan anime info next week. Also, one oneshot called Fantasies, by Golem Hearts author
Also, Neverland and Jimoto color pages
Is it just me, or there have been way more new oneshots than usually in recent issues?

They’re doing 6 in a row. Fantasies will be number 5.

Lol his goal for the series length is determined by a numerical milestone....Does Boruto even have the content to last 30 vols?

David and Jimoto aren't have rankings, they alternate between the exact same two spots every week.

It didn't even really have the content to last for 8 volumes, but alas here we are.

I really hope he doesn't reach that milestone. Over 7 more years of enduring Boruto in WSJ can't be the answer. There's gotta be better stuff to spend resources on.

What even is the point of a monthly manga in a weekly magazine?

At this point I won't be surprised if they move Boruto to Jump Square. They haven't had a newbie manga doing well, since....Kemono Jihen/Moriarty in 2016?

Naruto name recognition keeping Naruto fans interested in reading WSJ magazine. It might be a dwindling number but it's still a number for WSJ.

Also, the more popular the magazine, the better chances for it (boruto) to sell more.

I mean, by that rationale, World Trigger would have never left WSJ and would just switch to being monthly since its a very popular manga and sells well.

neither of those are done by newbies, ST&RS author and Psycho Pass artist do Moriarty, KJ is by Shinigamy infirmary chick
Boruto isn't by newbies either, Kodachi did tons of stuff before this

Naruto name recognition > World Trigger
Also, I'm sure it's one of those things they probably weighed the positives and negatives and decided. Would World Trigger work as a monthly series in a highly competitive Weekly magazine? My assumption was that this was also done to take away some pressure from Ashihara.
