It’d depend a lot on digital retailers playing ball, so I wouldn’t hold your breath for it. That said, Yahoo and EbookJapan fusing might make it a little easier, so we might be a bit closer than before.

Shokugeki is the platinum end tbh

I'd say that Boruto is more like Platinum End, at least Shokugeki had its sales grow for a while, while Boruto's sales never really grew after it started.

Also, Platinum End and Boruto share the trait of being largely successful because of merits of the past and reputation, rather than their own quality.

Shokugeki needs it's own category of disappointment. Everything about the series has fell off, the art isn't as good as it's once before and I heard Erina's development has been thrown out the window from the latest chapter? What the hell are these creator duo's smoking? Literally the two passable features of this series is the pretty art & Erina's character development is now downgraded.

This is the first time I've ever experienced a series fell off this hard.

1 thing for sure, amazon definitely won't give oricon their numbers,

and to add to that, Jumpbookstore are also unlikely to give any numbers,

I just hope they don't use any point system (if you follow other digital salse you get what I'm saying), and also not Famitsu way of using buyer survey.

Oricon physical numbers are already incomplete (I'm still not certain if they use multipliers for physical or not, hoping not)

but in the end if they eventually includes digital (which they will), it will just be that and nothing will really change except that we would get a percentage of physical + digital instead of just a percentage of physical
(which is what oricon is basically at the moment)

Starting to think that maybe Chainsaw-man will be like Jujutsu Kaisen where the rankings didn't started that great but when the first volume got released the manga kind of exploded, not saying that will be the same level but like with JK at the time twitter is getting filled with tons of fanarts from Chainsaw-man and tons of great reviews on Amazon
