SoTaku always predicts increased Food Wars performance. Should have just made the manga go full BL mode, would have made both a better product and better performance.WSJ #15:

I dont find select one random store to show that something is selling to be accurate, as the person taking the photo could have taken all the books off the shelf, held them, and then taken the photo. Seeing how everything else is fully stocked, definitely makes this seem very suspicious, also the space that Chainsawman is in, wouldnt fit the manga.
Retail musing photos are more convincing when it's stacks of the books on the table like other jpn retailers and we see that books series stack lower than others. Though those also have issues of authenticity on their own.
Not low, 50k in 10 days. That said, I just saw that MHA sold 70k in a week for volume 1.I thought TPN first volume sold pretty low. Anyway, depends on what you define as selling well for a first volume. Assassination classroom comes to mind. Technically One Piece would count too lol.
Oh, I was thinking it did around 40k. MHA can count but I was thinking 100k+. Assclass vol 1 steamrolls it by a large margin. I think it did around 300-400k before dropping off the rankings. Not low, 50k in 10 days. That said, I just saw that MHA sold 70k in a week for volume 1.
It was weird. They printed too few so it was sold-out everywhere for a while. It popped up in the listing weeks later with 70k.Yuragi sou no Yuuna San Volume 1 sold well and the previous work of the author Koisome Momiji got axed early I think
Matsui had Neuro.I thought TPN first volume sold pretty low. Anyway, depends on what you define as selling well for a first volume. Assassination classroom comes to mind. Technically One Piece would count too lol. Both weren't popular before starting their series.
Wow that was a mess. I am surprised Shueisha does not plan the prints better instead of letting things happen like this.It was weird. They printed too few so it was sold-out everywhere for a while. It popped up in the listing weeks later with 70k.
I mean they overprinted Sensei no Bulge iirc which was a flop, which is why they scaled back for MHA. It's often hard for Shueisha to know exactly how much demand there is for a first volume.Wow that was a mess. Oh Sensei no Bulge. I legit thought back then it would work. And it had a decent TOC start 8th and 9th chapter with Color Page support from Shueisha and boom just crashed.I mean they overprinted Sensei no Bulge iirc which was a flop, which is why they scaled back for MHA.
