My point is, why is any series being compared?

Dr.Stone is clearly considered a success by Jump in its own right, which is why it’s receiving an anime and is still in the magazine.

Different series have different peaks, which it’s something I sure Shueisha knows.
Stone hit its preanime peak.

Seems like people only rag on Stone’s sales because they personally don’t enjoy it, and see it a reassurance that their opinion on Stone is correct

Haven't seen the social media outrage yet, but the latest chapter was quite terrible and outrageous, so... that might be connected. I dunno, having a main character loses a battle instantly in one chapter on the basis of "You did well, but your opponent had a superpower that is simply superior" and reducing another main character literally into a tournament prize trophy and thus introducing a forced marriage plot - turns out fans don't like it when you treat their beloved character like trash and systematically destroy everything that was fun about a manga in the first place.

they had 5 announcements, if they were going to release Act Age they would clearly have used one of them for it, instead of announce Original English Language GNs or Yuri manga #456.

Aside from the OC all these are coming by the end of the year. If they plan on releasing act-age in say Feb 2020 it would have been out of place here. Unless you think Viz legit only has 4 things they plan on releasing now.

why wouldnt they release it sooner rather than later? Why release act age way into 2020?
