There's certainly signs in the PV it'll probably be acceptable. But the PV as a whole didn't do it a lot of favours and was outright annoying.

So... a perfect representation of the series itself?

I feel like part of what may be hurting Yui's popularity in English is its title. I've enjoyed the first 2 chapters, but if I was a random person on the fence, I may be tempted not to try it out since the title doesn't really give anyone indication about what the story is about. The fact that they didn't even go with something like Kamio Yiu Unchained seems like a of a miss to me.

What I'm really curious about is how the Japanese popularity will be. It has been a while since Shiibashi had a series in Jump, so I wonder if his older fans will show up again. Kamio Yui Unchained is a better English name though.

ahh I see. What does short flash videos mean, like not really hand animation but more artificial stuff? And probably aired in shorts?

stuff that's animated using Adobe Flash program or at least animated in a similar way to what you can do using that program (moving objects on screen rather than drawing frames) it's pretty cheap, easy and fast

I don't know if all Flash shows air in shorts but in case of Jimoto it is already revealed it's going to air in OhaSuta tv slot (daily 5 minutes episodes from Monday to Friday)

I liked it and I like that Yuzuriha doesn't look like an alien, hopefully they will fix all of Boichi's awful female designs not just her

that's pretty common though. My Hero Academia being about a hero school, Food Wars being about cooking show downs and We Never Learn being about tutoring people are the only ones I can really think of that give info on the story. What's a Haikyu!!? Why is it so exciting? What's a Black Clover? Is it an unlucky clover? Naruto? Like those whirl pools? One Piece? Of what? Or is everyone wearing swim suits? Bleach? Why would I read a manga about cleaning? The list goes on.
I just find it really boring. Never read Shiibashi's other series so idk how it compares but it feels like it would be far more interesting if the dude wasn't there and it was just Yui and her friend struggling with keeping Yui under control.

Why do you think it would be more interesting without the guy?

I'm so happy Kimetsu is getting the treatment it deserves. ufotable are giving the sword fights so much respect, the special effects look incredible.

Because it feels like he's only there to have a romance subplot. I'm sure eventually he'll do something but he's such a dull character right now.

Very surprised about Saiki. Netflix really ordered a lot now when it comes to manga adaptations: Spriggan, Mushikago no Cagaster, Saint Seiya reboot, Levius, Kengan Ashura, Ultraman, 7Seeds, Ghost in the Shell reboot/spinoff, Saiki.

It would be kind of interesting if Netflix would order a final season of Bleach, seeing they have the live action movie as a Netflix Original.
