From next week i will try to post all color page of Jump. For Spytrue i see he block me on twitter. And in fact is Moetron friend. So i understand why he block me Xd.
Other thing about Spytrue that i dont like very much is that he puts watermarks of his @ on most of the color pages.

He really mostly cares about followers and putting new stuff out there first. I think the watermark is silly but it's whatever. I thought he was alright at first until I heard he calls leakers bitches if they don't give him leaks (OD for example) I could go on but I've typed too much and this is not the place I see so I apologize for that. I just get tired of seeing his name around.

In Jump News, that Chainsaw Man chapter was crazy!

The people complain about saiyuki for being slow, but at least we did not take almost an hour to read how it was with samurai 8, that after 20 pages we go to drink water and then continue reading.

Nothing, there are many monthly manga with more than 66 pages that do not take so long and you can read at once.

That's not fair, this is the first chapter of Samurai 8 so the authors have to introduce the characters, the world and many things

Imo you should wait for more chapters to judge on the pace

The issue with Saiyuki's pace isn't that chapter 1 was slow, it's that chapters 1-9 are slow. I don't know what your normal reading speed is but I regularly take longer to read chapter 1 of WSJ series than pretty much anything else. They usually do pack as much into them as they can to try and hook you with something. When I have issues with slow pacing it's because the entirety of volume 1's content is a slog to get through.

tbf, the last chapters and the first one aren't slow for me, is more chapters 2-5 problem than 1-9, but those chapter hurt in general.

you can do all this without images polluted or stay with more than 50 pages without happening anything relevant.

I wish Manga+ would add a series that updates on Saturday night, I like to have a chapter or two to read during breakfast in the mornings but all they have on Saturday nights is re-editions of stuff I've already finished.

I imagine they'll have at least one thing a day eventually though (as long as the service doesn't fail of course).

at least saiyuki presented and built well the motivation of the characters, even if slowly. Kamio yui is just fun for the fun and only, without construction of characters and nothing, we only know the name of 1 character.

What does reading spread have to do with anything? It didn’t take me an hour to read through S8, but even so, it’s a longer first chapter, so of course it would take longer

if reading is good, one chapter is faster to read than the other, regardless of the number of pages.

It’s all just opinions.
But for me I never got the hype for Sayuuki. I think it’s just an okay manga.
Based on the 1st chapters I think I’m significantly more intrigued with the world and and story set up in S8.
I’m not caught up with Sayuuki, but based on the 1st 4 chapters or so, I’m just not as intrigued with what’s going on in that world

it's easy to be intrigued with S8 with the beautiful pictures. but it gets difficult with 51 pages of coaxing and only 11 final with something going on.

I finally read the latest Chainsaw Man chapter and it was absolutely glorious. :beer

I also caught up with Kamio Yui and I really love it, now it's much clearer to me what direction the series wants to take. It's focusing more on the comedic aspects and it takes advantage of its setting, the main characters being rich allows for some really crazy wacky scenarios to happen.
I love it when the color inversion happens and Yui transforms, it's a fun visual idea that I enjoy seeing every time. The character designs continue to be great and there's a lot of cool fashion sprinkled in with a constant change of outfits happening. The art is very charming and the wacky expressions do a great job to enhance the comedy and character interactions. This has an interesting twist to the typical romcom format because rather than having multiple girls as the main love interests we have one girl with two sides and both of them are turning out to be great. There are other girls that might be potential love interests, but for now they are excellent side characters, that's for sure. Kiito ended up being a surprisingly likable main character, he's a nice guy and we really get to see his quirky nature shine as we learn more about him. I'd like it if this manga did well, it has a lot of heart put into it and the whole idea behind it works really well.

I feel like Kamio Yui may be trying to set itself up as the next Leader Takeshi/Gintama, as in a primarily comedy focused series that'll sometimes have some proper serious arcs (I would certainly like to see a new one now that Gintama is maybe actually going to end this time). Or at least it's there so it can potentially shift gears to a different genre to attempt to save the series if rankings drop.

Of course it'll have to not get cancelled first but I feel like it could quite likely go that route.

Yeah, it did remind me of Gintama, but it's still much tamer than it. I think this fits nicely into the current WSJ lineup, now all it has to do is survive I guess. It also fits into the popular genre of never ending slice of life comedic school series with some kind of romantic elements attached to it, and in this case the romance isn't really the main focus for now. It helps that the series is made by a really experienced author, it's really well drawn and he throws in a lot of cool visuals that you wouldn't typically see in this kind of a series. Plus it has a lot of action in it so it appeals to that crowd from the magazine as well. Oh and it has some really nice fanservice also, so this manga definitely has a lot of things going on.

Edit: Some typos

It looks more a Beelzebub than a Gintama.
