but yaomomo is 100% shigaraki’s sister. she survived (remember, there were no children’s hands) and was adopted into a wealthy family thanks to her quirk, which happens to be the (somewhat) opposite of her brother’s
the timeline could work, right? because shigaraki’s only 3 or 4 years older than the 1-a kids
i mean, this degree of similarity is just… too much to pass by as a coincidence, especially when it’s seen with multiple generations of a family (of course, shigaraki is the anomaly due to his mutations). the only difference between her and the shimura women above is the hairstyle, which can easily be changed

• Several of the locations in MHA have their names derived from planets in Star Wars. A lot of them have meaning when you look at the events that occur there:
• Tatooin/Tatooine Station: A train station Midoriya and Bakugou’s hometown, and one of the first named locations seen in the series. Tatooine was where Luke Skywalker’s Hero’s Journey began.
• Orudera Junior High School: Named for Alderaan, Princess Leia’s homeworld. Midoriya and Bakugou go to school here before being admitted into UA High. Destruction of something precious (Midoriya’s Notebook) leads to a great change in the narrative.
• Dagobah Municipal Beach Park: Named For Dagobah, where Luke Skywalker’s Training from Hell with Yoda takes place. Midoriya undergoes similar training so he can inherit One For All.
• Nabu Junior High: Named for Naboo. Hitoshi Shinso went to this schoolbefore attending UA. In Episode I, Naboo is blockaded by the Trade Federation, referencing the obstacles Shinso was unable to overcome, not being admitted to the Hero course due to his Quirk not being suited for direct combat.
• Hosu, Tokyo: Named for Hoth. In Star Wars, the Battle of Hoth was the result of an ambush by the Imperial army, after discovering the Rebel Alliance base there, and the Rebels lost badly. In much the same way, Stain loses due to an ambush by Iida, Midoriya and Todoroki, and the city is almost overrun by an attack from three Nomou.
• Kamino Ward, Yokohama: Named for Kamino, where the Clone Troops were grown. Similarly, Kamino is where One For All was growing Nomou to use in attacks carried out by the League of Villains/Villain Alliance.

Shigaraki was young when he met All For One, 8 or 9 years old, somewhere around there I'm guessing. That's around 12 or 13 years ago because he's currently 20 years old. Momo was 15 at the start of the series. That would make her around 3 or 4 years old when Shigaraki's family died. Hana doesn't look or act that young.

Momo's personality also doesn't match up. From bringing a bed too big for her dorm room to casually talking about having a closet the size of her dorm and other rich privileges, she acts like someone who has no idea how average people live. Of course, that's assuming Shiggy's family wasn't rich.

The ages might make sense but wasn't momo born from a well off hero family? I suppose she could have been adopted but even then she'd be old enough to be scared by her brother murdering everyone she loved. The ages can fit depending on the age difference between shigaraki and his little sister but the lore does not necessarily back this.

Those are exceptions to the rule. Mineta is a short character archetype. I don't know how old Nezu is but he's an animal. All Might's appearance is most likely affected by his quirk and it's safe to say AFO has a slow, no, or reverse aging quirk.

Horikoshi seems to be a guy who plays fair with his audience. Making Shiggy's sister looking older just to hide she's Momo is unfair to the audience and it's just as easy, and fair, to simply not reveal her appearance until he's ready.

If she were really young when her family was murdered by her brother, you can bet she'd forget it. Young minds are designed to forget traumatizing experiences. It happens all the time for, say, rape at a young age. The brain's response is to just shut down memories.

I like this theory, and the quirks match: Momo molecularly transforms things. Shigaraki completely disintegrates them. But somehow I just... don't think it is true. Not sure why. Maybe because Momo has shown no hints. Of course, she might randomly start having flashbacks or weird hints now that we know what Shigaraki's sister looks like. And the fact that her hands were missing is a big question mark that definitely has purpose behind it.

Sorry to be that guy but since Momo is younger than Shigaraki she can’t be his sister. The part that sticks out the most is that Shigaraki’s sister was older than him. Just wanted to point that out since the ages don’t match up
