I don't really know, but in any case, it's a bigger thing now that it was before. 4chan fan-translations are a tier below established Edited Manga groups imo. It's not the same as appearing in Mangastream with mha, tpn, op, 7ds and basically every manga that's popular in the west.

Jujutsu is barely year old anyway. Things need time to catch on overseas, unless there's reason for the west to care from the beginning (i.e Kishimoto). Chainsaw-man is more an exception than the rule, but even then, doesn't the author have a pretty decent following online? Plus Fire Punch was licensed in a bunch of places, right?
I usually read Jujutsu main reason of being irrelevant is West is that is only one year old, but for example, Dr.Stone, WNL and even RxL were already known after just 3 months of serialization. Similar stuff for Neverland, Hero Academia, Yuuna-san and now Chainsawman.

Only titles I saw that haven't become popular after an entire year have been Jujutsu (continues being irrelevant, nobody in 4chan for example cares about it), Act-age (which has started being popular, unlike Jujutsu), Black Clover (which had already following starting in the Capital Invasion Arc if I recall), and Kimetsu (which had already its legion of fans in 4chan at least in 2017 already).

I like the anomaly from vol. 11, I find it interesting

it is like race conditions, but for sales
I agree. It's also worth noting that, in terms of my "battle manga success" formula, Kimetsu is the one hit which actually failed it. So it's kinda the exception that proves the rule.

I think I've seen a few people starting to talk more about Jujutsu lately, after the Horikoshi push.

Thanks, chart freak (don't hate me for this name)

But these charts sorta prove my point. The difference between vol 1 and vol 12 for TPN is about ~30% lower volumes sold for vol 12 when compared to vol 1.

The same applies to KnY 1 and 14 volume. There are some variations or anomalies tho like you said with Kimetsu's newer volumes.

But I don't think it'll do more than 400k as peak sales for new volumes. Unless it just constantly gets MHA level boosts every season (which not every show gets).

Jujutsu's lack of popularity is kind of weird since I've felt since it started that it's probably the closest thing in style to Bleach. I've read that people find it a bit hard to follow sometimes though so maybe that hurts it a lot.

Also I feel like Quintuplets would've just flopped in wsj, because early on all the girls are crap and the situations aren't fun. The series takes a while to stop being awful and Jump generally doesn't give series the time to improve if they can't hit it at least decently big right away.

Jujutsu kinda suffered from the fact the fan Edited Mangas for it came too little too late (in this case, Jaimini which did get it some life). Then they dropped it for some time which led into a decrease and now that they picked it up again with early TLs....well. At least Act-Age I can understand as it's not your normal shonen manga, but Jujutsu is literally the butter and bread of WSJ.

Good news for me. Kaguya characters are annoying and obnoxious. I don't understand its praise. Chika dance is stupid as shit.
Eh?? That Chika dance you are talking about does not exist in the manga. Gotta agree it's overrated, and I am saying it as a fan of the manga (plus it overshadowed what is a really nice regular ED)

I assume you only saw anime (I feel it was well done, but like you said some may find it too over the top with frustrating characters), hence your opinion. Though if you find the characters obnoxious NOW, then oh boy at the parts anime didn't adapt (especially the recent ones that are a bit divisive among fans).

Imagine using virtue signaling and "top kek" unironically.
Yes because using a legitimate term and using a humorous term somehow disqualify all my points. Great argument

That’s a noun and a verb. Come on, son.

I think this is fair. Like I draw the line harder because of my own personal experience but if that’s someone’s response I’m not gonna accuse them of being wrong. It’s all personal feelings in the end, innit.

Mel Gibson is a director too, to be fair, though I’d argue an actor is a creative, and still applicable.

And god the sales chart isin on the action!!! Curses
"That’s a noun and a verb. Come on, son."

Golly, I darn reckon you're right. Okay I retract all the points I made because you must be the one who won the argument.

I wonder why I even thought you two would craft a proper response. My expectations were too high I guess. Moving on then.

Boruto cover is so unappealing, eek. At least we have that fantastic WNL one (with Yuuna and WT looking great) to compensate.

Seems nobody posted it yet.
Solid cover, could be the best of the new bunch tbh.

ne0lation Vol 2 cover feels like it was drawn by assistants, the eyes of the protagonist are different, and whole the art style is sketchy, whereas Vol 1 and CPs never were as such..

This CP for Chapter 2 was cool though.

Good stuff, but her poor spine is definitely fractured from that pose xD
Don't know what you people are on about with the anatomy meme, I can easily make that pose and she's ice skating ffs. And this one is actually a much easier pose that the actually hideous TnA shots.

Ya'll talking about anatomy reminded me of Toriko and how disproportionate his face was to the rest of his body.
One of the main reasons I was so put off by the series early on.

For example

Captain Tsubasa feels. Enough said about this... No idea as to how someone can look at this and actually read the manga.

OMG I'm so disturbed after seeing this Tsubasa color page. You should put a disclaimer.

About the neolation cover vs cp thing, I think the author just chose color the volume cover by hand instead of the digital art used in the color page. I liked it.
