Honestly the legs might have been worse at the beginning. From what I remember, early one piece was a noodlemen universe.

Yuuna has a color page and HZ has been doing somewhat decently lately. Haikyuu was just as low last week, and heroaca the week before that.

Maybe readers didn't respond well to the majority of the established characters suddenly getting killed off (granted, they were mostly side characters with minimal characterization, and the important characters are probably fine).

If I had to guess though, I'd say it's just TOC shenanigans, it's become increasingly apparent that the TOC isn't necessarily a ranking.

Nah, let CSM rot there. About Jigokuraku, it's a really good movement. It's not like they're putting the series in the mag, just a special chapter in order to promote it and boost its popularity getting a really broad audience to look at it even if it's for a second. Nothing wrong with it.

Well, at best it's a "ranking" for newer manga. Otherwise, it just show promotions for established manga, like it shows for quite some time that Shokugeki is on a weak situation on the editorial as it's on the last 4 most of the time and with less CP/Cover.

For someone who acts as expert every 5 mins in this thread and replies to each post, your wording sounded that you are unaware Jigokuraku isn't part of magazine, but digitally published in Jump+. Otherwise you wouldn't suggest they to promote it "in its own magazine" and not in Jump.
The series also already had a special chapter in Jump before. Being more adult means nothing as long as they don't make the special chapter that adult. In the past series like Terra Formars and Tokyo Ghoul also had special chapters in Jump (along with other YJ properties).

Shame. I honestly was hoping it would become a hit, but then, looking over it, it simply became clear that for a number of reasons it simply didn't have a chance.

"didn't had a chance" making it like it can't survive due to no room. In reality series suck. Its been 10 or so chapters and there is basically zero developement and nothing interesting happened to have readers occupied. It had potential, but it's simply bad. If a series is good, it will survive even in over competitive environment.
