Imagine if Viz saved us all a headache and put it as “fortnightly” (unless it really is gonna seitch to 6 times a year which would be... damaging)

FYI, if it were Bi-Monthly or Biweekly, it wouldn't make sense either way, here, because the scheduling is wrong. Chapter 35 comes out in Issue 28, and all those chapters are for Issue 29. Most likely, the manga is indeed going bi-monthly, and Viz's scedule is just acting weird. That, or they're releasing Chapter 36 early so to justify releasing Volume 9 before the schedule gets considerably worse.

It's not that it's 'incorrect' actually, but what they did was:
1. Chapters number are 2 weeks ahead.
2. They scheduled Boruto for 1 week before its actual chapter release.

That's pretty much all they did and get the result displaying in the website.
I'll put this again.

Most likely, with Kishi doing Samurai 8, he doesn't have time to work on Boruto as editor, and Jump doesn't feel comfortable separating Kishi completely from the Naruto franchise.

>Does ‘bimonthly’ mean ‘twice a month’ or ‘every two months’?
>Unfortunately it means both! In the publishing industry, though, it's used fairly consistently to mean 'every two months', so that a bimonthly magazine is generally one that's issued every two months. The same ambiguity affects biweekly and biyearly. If you want to be absolutely clear, it's best to use a phrase such as 'twice a week' or 'every two years'.

Bimonthly is an ambiguous term for frequency, meaning either "two times every month" or "every two months". I also use it as 'every two months', but in this case, it's the first option.
Then I guess we can say this is just Viz's goof and doesn't actually mean anything?

What could mean something is the 'Bimonthly' tag in the series. Nothing more, numbers and the fact they put Burrito 1 week before the actual week it should be scheduled it's just Viz messing everything up.

I seriously don't know why people are saying this. Is that double wording even used in America (where Viz is based)?

There is none, people assume you can't read more than one manga at a time.
It means something because Kishi is Boruto's supervising editor. Now that he's off doing Samurai 8, he's not likely to have much time to edit Boruto, and Jump is not likely to replace him because Naruto is his baby which he owns.

Because they want to get over with a series which sales go down every volume that comes out? Maybe. Not like we'll get an actual answer for that. It can also cover Soma's ending.

Viz listed One Piece as monthly once (I think another series too) and everyone started freaking out about that too until they changed it. Their schedule isn't the most accurate out there so no point freaking out yet.

Come to think of it, isn't every other month a super weird release schedule? Is there anything like that?

technically it's not because it's possible to have 3 chapters in a month where there's 5 Sundays (such as this month. Assuming it doesn't take a break we get June 2, June 16 and June 30)

Dude, do you read? M+ says SxF is every other Monday, no bi-monthly.

And guys, I think the more damning evidence is simply the matter of Kishi's time. He's simply not likely to have the ability to both do Samurai 8, and edit Boruto in a timely fashion. Slowing down production of Boruto is the only logical way to not actually kill Kishimoto.

How much "editing" does Kishi even do for Boruto? Being credited is one thing, actual involvement another (see executive producer credits for movies/shows/etc.).
