Lol.
"Guys, seriously. This is the last volume. Buy it!"

Huh, what? If anything, they're giving too much time to Sorachi. I never saw any other case where a publisher did so much for a manga to end. It's like the 8th time that the manga had an end and they allowed Sorachi to continue even though he wasn't able to end it before.I mean it's their fault for letting the ending shenanigans play out so many times, both in the anime and the magazines. They dug their own Graves and tarnished a fucking beautiful series that will shine silver forever.
Slam Dunk has one of the best evolutions I've ever seen. The art evolution of Komatsu's nose needs more attention
On a serious note, Slam Dunk

Kubo's regarded as an artistic genius for a reason, people.I remember thinking that the detail in Bakuman's art just went drastically down after a point. But I guess it suited the whole slice of life feel the series had.
Bleach definitely improved for the better.
While Kubo's art was always good, his decision to change styles really shows with how much intensity he was able to add to expressions.

Sorachi never said he'd be able to end the manga within any timeframe. Any statements to that effect were Shueisha/anime staff only.Huh, what? If anything, they're giving too much time to Sorachi. And I say that as someone with Gintama on top 10 favorite manga. lol
Seems like Kubo's hatred of backgrounds was also there from the beginning, but increased over the years XD.I remember thinking that the detail in Bakuman's art just went drastically down after a point. But I guess it suited the whole slice of life feel the series had.

Guys, excluding the background is entirely valid as an artistic technique. Hell, I think Samurai 8 is a bit too focused on INCLUDING the background.Seems like Kubo's hatred of backgrounds was also there from the beginning, but increased over the years XD.
It depends. There’s only like... 4 original series at the moment(I think), but it comes and goes in waves(not that spin-offs of other series/franchises changes the fact they’re deeply, deeply silly. Familiarity would only go so far if readers preferred their free silliness elsewhere). Also issues of Saikyo Jump are *more* expensive than manga volumes, or at least volumes of shonen or kodomo manga, with issues at around 540円Aren't most of Saikyo Jump's manga established properties? I feel like there's a familiarity which contributes there. Not to mention, issues of Saikyo Jump are much cheaper than manga volumes, so the comparison doesn't really work.
Probably because it never really was going to end? Yet.Huh, what? If anything, they're giving too much time to Sorachi. I never saw any other case where a publisher did so much for a manga to end.
This probably the best case of "mangaka artistic skills became better but art as the whole turned worse" If anything Super Eyepatch Wolf was right about this aspect of Bleach in his video.I remember thinking that the detail in Bakuman's art just went drastically down after a point. But I guess it suited the whole slice of life feel the series had.

I tought Sorachi said in an extra from one of the last volumes that he told Shueshia that he would end the series in the next 6 months and thats why he finished its publication in Jump.Sorachi never said he'd be able to end the manga within any timeframe. Yeah, sometimes it can feel like some authors are trying to fill up every inch of the panels. Things can get a little too busy.Guys, excluding the background is entirely valid as an artistic technique. Hell, I think Samurai 8 is a bit too focused on INCLUDING the background.
That's because mangaka need to let the editorial know when they're going to end with enough time to prepare new content that will fill it's spot. It's not like any author can just end his/her series whenever, but the editorial needs to be ready to prepare announcements, last volumes, etc. He did thought he could end the series in that time frame, but it was not. GIGA's transfering and the app was due to him not being able to calculate properly how much time would he need to finish his series and being a bit off. Not blaming him, look at Oda when he said he would finish OP in 5 years or something, it's not something that easy to foresee.I tought Sorachi said in an extra from one of the last volumes that he told Shueshia that he would end the series in the next 6 months and thats why he finished its publication in Jump.
He couldn´t end it because of bad planning and continued in GIGA and then its app.
Yeah. If anything, moving Sorachi to GIGA and the app was the best compromise between letting him finish Gintama properly, and not ruining Jump's schedule. That's because mangaka need to let the editorial know when they're going to end with enough time to prepare new content that will fill it's spot. Didn't something similar happen with Bleach? At least that's the impression I got from the last few chapters and the interviews that have come out since. Except Kubo was in no condition to keep going with his health problems.I tought Sorachi said in an extra from one of the last volumes that he told Shueshia that he would end the series in the next 6 months and thats why he finished its publication in Jump.
