Yeah you guys probably skipped my childish rant on him, but he literally made the same criticisms of BNHA on reddit, that I used on him. And he denied all of my points despite having agreed with them elsewhere - to feel that he had won, I guess?

I'm probably coming off a bit stupid, but it's safe to say that he's not the most convincing poster in this thread.

Fuck I suddenly remembered how our conversations used to go, we'd talk about the placements like this.

Personally I think Haikyuu is too high as we've gotten no character development and just plain volleyball fanservice for the longest time. Kamio is worryingly low. Actually 3 to 5 should just be lower. It's fair to say that 1 and 2 are pushed but that only means the editors think the quality and commerical potential of the series is good enough to take up that real estate.

Not really that crazy except for the top 2 and Stone. One Piece on break + color pages for Kimetsu and Neverland just leave the top spots up for grabs.

2. The past few chapters are about characters suffering self-doubt and how changes in thinking help them break negative mindset, featuring a 300+ chapter character development.

7 weeks ago usually with some mix of series they push/think what is the best order for a magazine reader.

Pretty much is imo unless in specific cases (usually the high is being pushed). Now I get why certain people avoid to talk about TOC like a plague.

Like, I know it should not be taken literally place for place but its an accurate insight into what is popular at the moment.

Also, I struggle to see where the "7 weeks" thing came from. My best guess is because axed series always start their descent upon Chapter 8, but that I would assume is because Jump policy is to let a series get a volume of content out before beginning to actually ascertain its quality.

"7 weeks" predates back from 2007. There is a reason why this WSJ thread still has "TOC Talk" in the title.

While I get Maxy means completely the opposite here from me, I agree with his "organized like EIC wants the magazine to be read". Popular at front, others at bottom.

What do you think was it about the chapter that propelled it to a high tank? While we're at it, let's discuss what happened in the respective series' chapters that either helped them get a higher rank or vice versa. I think this might sound interesting
