HxH isn't "ongoing" at the moment, so it doesn't count kkkk.

It's quite amazing to see Zumou being the 3rd oldest manga on Jump now, at the time when it started, no one thought that would even survive for being a sumo manga, but here we are, 5 years later. It's also amazing to think that only 3 years ago Bleach, Kochikame, Toriko, Nisekoi and Ansatsu were still being published, Jump changed really fast in this last years.

I think the biggest shift was Kochikame ending. It was an anchor in Jump for 40 years, the vast majority of Jump's life. With it gone, Jump feels like a completely different place.

The early 2010s were kind of a lackluster era, weren't they? 2/3 of those series are from 2014 onwards.
Or they just didn't push series as hard back then.

You have to not settle for the most obvious conclusions, and put "correlation != causation" into practice more.

Apparently Kamio Yui's Chapter 12's panel on Page 10 (MangaPlus) got some of the 4chan users pissed off lol
While I am surprised Shibashi went into ecchi/sexual things after reading Mago and such, this is far from anything new. Guess people forgot Chapter 8 of this manga lol.

It's also a combination of no established series ending, plus the Big 3 all being at their cumlative peak in popularity (Marineford + Beginning of the 4th Shinobi War + Fight with Aizen) on top of other series growing in popularity. There simply wasn't any real dents in the armor at time for something to break through.

I know that, but if people want definitions for netorare they can google it lol. I see no need to be discussing the specifics here

So when Hinomaru leaves inevitably in few months, the Oldest 5 non HxH Jump manga group will be joined by Yuuna.

I've always been so tempted to say "I can't believe Haikyuu is the oldest manga in Jump!!"

but I can't because One Piece will never end and Hunter x Hunter will never get its next chapter.

"Third oldest manga in Jump" just doesn't have quite the same impact.

Odds that One Piece/Hunter x Hunter outlives all the remaining manga in Jump?

I think only Black Clover will outlive One Piece and Hunter x Hunter. Maybe Boku no Hero but I'm honestly not sure if Horikoshi will get to complete his full story or if (for whatever combination of reasons) he will have to pull a Bleach.

Zumou and Yuuna are the new Gintama with the amount of people always saying that they´re ending soon but still not ending yet, specially with Yuuna.
