Those who know me know that I am a nice person.
Btw, it's better to be an old-fashioned person than a person who promotes Twitter himself with the excuse of "make a discussion."
If you want fame, be another thing.

No need to get on my foot just because I exposed your source.

So you were talking about the readers? Then I may agree with you. I was trying to show the magazine may have not changed that much.
Well, readers influence the environment. So the chicken comes before the egg.

Well, since yesterday i finally updated Samurai 8 (only had read the first chapter), now i'm up with all 4 mangas and well, i don't really get much of the criticism from some people here, i like 4 of them, to me this is the best serialization round in a good time.

Samurai 8 is perfectly fine, the art is good, the characters are nice, Kishimoto is taking his time to explain everything since he isn't in any danger for pretty much a year but at the same time isn't as slow as Saiyuki, and being totally honest, i find all the criticisn from some people a bit forced, it seems some people just want to hate this so much that they find any excuse to do, i don't care if it's a bit slow, Kishi is obviously taking the "long term" journey and i'm okay with it.

Futari no Taisei it's one of the most refreshing sports manga that i ever read on Jump, of course isn't perfect and anything, but it's seriously interesting and i don't know what it's so "confusing" about it based in some people's comment about how much of a "mess" the manga is, but i get that it's a bit hard to see where the story will go, but for now i'm enjoying the characters and the "Tai and Sei" thing.

Beast Children is pretty much the "by the book" sport manga but at the same time it has some charm and also heart, isn't bad is just "typical" but it will not be any surprise if it flops but i think it's getting better each chapter.

Tokyo Shinobi Squad it's the surprise to me, didn't expected anything and the manga became my favorite with Samurai 8, yeah isn't like the most original stuff in the magazine but i really like the art and the main characters, specially Jin, overall the manga it's a really cool read.

Not really trying to start a whole discussion (that will probably become a mess), just putting my thoughts about the new mangas since everybody do the same, things will get ugly since i like Kamio Yui and even Saiyuki too, but it's how things work in Jump...

Yeah, Samurai 8 isn't bad at all tbh. I hated Naruto's start (and the whole series tbf) but S8 so far is nothing but a generic yet whimsical adventure series.
I think most of the criticisms are rather silly (sans the princess shit which is kind of gross) but I still don't think it's anything special and if this came out from anyone who wasn't Kishimoto it wouldn't be receiving the push it's getting because it's nothing more than an average series.

Tokyo Shinobi Squad on the other hand is fucking awesome. I really expected it to be cringey preachy pseudo intellectual shit but luckily the politics are simply there for world building and the focus is on the characters and action.
Really cool stuff that ends up feeling really fresh.

in the case of Futari no taisei, I think it is more a story about character study than a sport manga itself, after all the manga gave more focus to the characters of Tai and Sei.
And he also does not look like a manga of a long duration different from the other 3, if it lasts a long time it can end up spoiling, Nisekoi type or shokugeki no souma.

Thank you for being someone who actually notices that, it seriously bugs the hell out of me that no one is mentioning it. That said, I think mostly the same of Samurai 8, I just feel it shouldn't be "average" because of all the hype it had and that people deserve better.

TSS is really divisive from what I've seen. It seems everyone has a somewhat different opinion on it.

So instead of being average its a "failure"?

Kishimoto is a below average writer. People shouldn't have had such high expectations.

I mean, being average is a failure in the eyes of Jump.

Dude still wrote the third-best selling manga of all time. People are naturally gonna have high expectations.

Let's wait till the first volume sales gets published which I'm certain that it'll be pretty good cause it have Kishi name on it ( just look at boruto )

Imo the real challenge begins with volume 2

Is he forneverworld?

Also it's cute how he never responds to our criticism. He probably sees all of us as mindless plebs who simply can't understand his brilliance.
Like every other 19 year old journalism student.
No, because Fornever is a shill for Kishimoto.

And no, I'm just used to contingents of people who hate me.

This doesn’t really make any sense.

Kishimoto isn’t really regarded as the best writer of all time (though I think Samurai 8 is actually entertaining and well put together so far aside from a few aspects) and obviously it isn’t going to sell as good as Naruto (volume 1 isn’t even out yet so talking about sales right now is meaningless anyway).

When did Kishi's quality as a writer factor into things? It doesn't change the fact that Naruto is one of the most popular manga ever published, and the expectation from many people is for Kishi to do something on that level. I mean, I don't even care about Naruto myself, and even I feel underwhelmed by what Samurai 8 is VS what it was built up as.

This is really true, Naruto's biggest strength was that Kishimoto created a interesting world and set of characters with a huge tendency to battle, in Naruto, two characters could just be walking down a crossroad and meeting that Kishimoto would be able to create a believable reason for those characters to engage in a fight, plus, his ability to hype and properly deliver those fights, wich is the founding basic of a battle shounen, characters aren't ALL that development and well progressed, but still fun and memorable, the story isn't out-of-this-world amazing, but it never needed to be, it had some dramatic and mature moments in some very specific times, but overall it was just trying to be fun, Kishimoto works better with simplicity, and he managed to embrace and master it without giving up on originality and falling in blandness, this is his way of being "brilliant", and what, to me, drove Naruto to be the phenomenon it was.

If Stephenie Meyer announced a new book series there'd be tons of hype amongst lemmings but people who actually read books would realize it's just going to be more rambling poorly written Mormon sanitised wet dreams masquerading as young adult fiction.

Like, I don't deny that. Doesn't change that there are a lot of lemmings who really liked rambling poorly written Mormon sanitised wet dreams masquerading as young adult fiction. At best, that just spells doom for Samurai 8 since it means the series will have zero growth.

Vanguard no Archer please.
Fingers crossed Fujimaki doesn't go for "emotionless" model for the hero. That worked for Kuroko because he shared his position as protagonist with Kagami, but Robot just came off as uninteresting.
