Jump underprints basically everything nowadays on Vol 1. I think it's a pre-caution to avoid printing series at a loss.
Sure, but IIRC, CSM got like four(?) reprints. I *think* that's a bit above normal.

Same thing with Act-Age, i don't know how many reprints it got since the beginning, i remember also the constantly "urgent reprints" for BNHA last year, it was like they were printing 10 copies of each BNHA volume and sending to stores.

I mean, when the hits of the current era aren't really "Whoa! This is nothing I've seen before!" and are more "Whoa, this is really good.", you can't really predict in hindsight what'll become a hit.

I'm curious what do you guys predict SxF sales will be like in the first month? Specific sales number isnt necessary so a range is fine.
I think it may sell like... 30k in the first month? Which wouldn't be bad. I have a feeling it's a manga that would do well in word-of-mouth and awards, and as such it may have a long tail in sales. But that's purely hypothetical.

It's good news for SxF, but in regards to Sharkbait, it always amuses me how often people forget that bait is literally in their name.

Not to say that they're always baiting, Shark has occasional nuggets of wisdom, but still, that's the general modus operandi.
“Shark” and “wisdom” just don’t fit in the same sentence :derp

Medaka Box was specifically written to have the most powerful characters as kind of a meta commentary of the genre. It's a special case.
I know. Still, they are top 5 out there.

So something like 200k for each volume, very good.

It seems that Crunchyroll is REALLY confident on Dr. Stone. (This is Times Square).

Seeing the pre-anime hype that has gotten in the West, I don´t blame them but the interesting part will be how it performs in the part of the world that more matters.

he has "bait" in his name and he still has said smarter things than half of the posters here
Sure, but that's only when he stops doing his gimmick. Also, this line of discussion is getting a bit too off-topic.

When I was made mod, they (my superiors) told me light off-topic discussion is okay. Posts specifically about users and nothing else regarding Jump or it's series is starting to get a bit beyond the light category. Notice when myself and others mentioned Sharkbait, it was specifically in reference to SxF, which I would technically consider a Jump series.

I'm not mad or reprimanding you or anything, I'm just giving you advice for future reference. This goes for you as well Chuck_Atlas. Let's all try to be at least partially on topic. :)

Depend on what you're looking for.
Going in for world building? It's standard Tokyo
going in for romance? fat harem
going in for the plot and character progression? awesome.
going in for side cast? it's okay

Is Dr. Stone the new king of shonen?

As if anyone was doubting, this basically confirms Chainsaw Man is part of the Jump canon.

Slightly surprised Samurai 8 isn't included.

Couldn't it have been created before Sam8 was released?
