I don't think that will happen. Gotoubun exists like it does due to how Magazine works and exists. In there, there was manga in the past like Good Ending, Domestic na Kanojo, Kimi no Iru Machi, Suzuka, Gakkou Juliet, Senryuu Shoujo, Gotoubun and many others. And they have more variety on each of them going from romcom harem to romance drama to romcom and so on, with some even with sex scenes like Kouji Seo works and Kei Sasuga works which I mentioned before. The romances are quite different and hell, in the current lineup there's 4 of them. Much of this has to do with the magazine itself and I don't see it happening on Jump as what's out there is romcom harem only, which is fine by me as I'm not locked in just one magazine and I like the subgenre.

Maybe that has to do with the editorial, or Magazine having almost no teenage public in comparison with what Jump does but they're different.
Eh...you have a point more or less, but I'm just hoping because I want something...better, I guess? The romcoms in Jump feel really trashy, and are well below the rest of the roster in terms of quality >> Quints meanwhile feels way more accessible and...dignified, I think the right word?

Trashy? lol there's nothing "trashy" about We Never Learn and Yuuna, WNL is a more traditional romantic comedy with a great group of girls, a good main character, great comedy and some good fanservice.

Yuuna it's a great ecchi harem series with a great main character (that actually deserves the harem), a really great group of girls, and fantastic fanservice.

Gotoubun no Hanayome being more serious or "dramatic" doesn't make the other kind of romcoms less good or "trashy", the manga isn't doing anything new or innovative too.

You realize calling them "trashy" is not the same as calling them bad, right? Trashy refers to them being indulgent and pandering heavily to ecchi comedy and romcom antics. Quints doesn't feel like that because it's driven by dramatic arcs and plot development, hence it reads more accessible to me.

Medaka Box had 6 women in top10 in its 2nd popularity poll and that wasn´t romcom.

Its not about the plot or the longetivity but to make the story and characters interesting. The way you describe Robot can be also applied to Kuroko: A stale teenager that's just good at basketball.

Kuroko and Robot are literally the same characters but with Kuroko we had a deuteragonist to compliment the way our MC was, plus we had side characters that made the interactions more funnier and interesting to read. With Robot, these type of things were almost eliminated with the timeskip, something that felt really unnecesarry and just doomed the series completely.

Also, I know that a lot of people find Golf boring, I too, but the way it was presented in Robot, at least pre-timeskip, was something that could have worked if only the author could have give it more time to the characters it had already, instead of just throwing it aside with the timeskip. We seen that Golf series can work but with Robot it just couldn´t bring the same energy and excitement as others have done.
Because its golf. Not many teenagers are interested in that sport, meanwhile basketball is heavily populair globally. Basketball and golf ARENT on the same length, also the big history Japan has with basketball (aka slam dunk)

You literally used the term in a derogatory way saying they are very well bellow the rest in terms of quality, that you want better romcoms (quality) and using the term "dignified" to talk about Gotoubun over these two.

They're "trashy" because they're romcom and ecchi mangas that do what romcom and ecchi mangas are supposed to do? like i said, Gotoubun being more "serious and dramatic" doesn't make WNL and Yuuna any less good, much less "trashy", they're very good mangas inside the romcom and ecchi genres.

It's a magazine for horny teens, you dont have to work hard to think of something original. Ecchi will always sell like hotdogs as long your art-style is appealeable, dont think too deep for this genre in jump lol.

I digress, as I would put them up there but romance in general is one of my favorite genres.

If Jump ran those there would be no room for Giga series to come and flop obviously so they just turn them away.

>hey, editorial department, here's a storyboard I've been working for awhile
>hmmm, no good, not enough exorcists *throw in trash*
>b-but you don't understand, it's a coming of age story
>no! you're the one that don't understand *throw lighter in trash*
>noobs awakens sharingan, go to kodansha and writes the next one piece
>everyone claps

and that's why Nak is a hack, and my hatred for him is completely reasonable

Dr.Stone opening for me, is pretty bland.

When I get the HD version of it, I'll finally end the 50th years Shonen Jump anime video, featuring first opening of all succesful Jump titles with anime. 90 titles in total.

Karmic stuff, since first Jump title (Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho) was aired in Fall 1969, and lastest title (Dr.Stone) has been aired in Summer 2019.

They are probably not that many compared with the ridiculous amount of stuff they must receive. He might have only brought it up because it's in Champion.
