Do you remember what he said? Also did he ever address the backlash for the final few arcs?
Source?

How was Kagamigami? If a veteran returns, i'm betting on Kenta Shinohara, he mentioned in December that he was working in a new project and it seems the best moment to come back, i would also like to see Iwashiro Toshiaki coming back and giving another try, it's been 4 years since Kagamigami.
I pray every day for some kind of HxH announcementTogashi's return would be lit af.
Like Kamio Yui but with better rankings but i don't have sales numbers, it was a decent manga that survived more than expected because of luck + being a known author (despite Psyren not being exactly what you can call a "hit")Togashi's return would be lit af.

That's not a fair comparison. Kagamigami was a really cool but safe battle series. The only problem was it opened with a promise of duo-leads one of them a strong female character only to waste her potential.Like Kamio Yui but with better rankings but i don't have sales numbers, it was a decent manga that survived more than expected because of luck + being a known author (despite Psyren not being exactly what you can call a "hit")
I was comparing the serialization, ranking and sales, also for being from both known authors. That's not a fair comparison. Kagamigami was a really cool but safe battle series. Kamio Yui has no idea what it wants to be and is just throwing everything it possibly can genre and tone wise at the wall.
