1) GFC still missing, last year it started in #39
2) Only 2 Color Pages besides LCP (3 being the norm)
3) No oneshots announcement even without GFC

good touch of Edgyness which fit this era

this looks promosing with the character designs, appealing artstyle, the cast look all > interesting < thats the most important thing,. espcially with this setting

looks like an successor of hitman reborn & with the idea of nisekoi, also look like an manga that anitwitter nibbas will drool on.

Seems definitely like it's leaning into the popularity of Kaguya-sama and Spy x Family. Count me interested.

It's not possible for that to happen. Manga isn't made in a time like this, it has planning and other parts before serialization after all, so a influence to Spy x Family isn't really possible since it was out just months ago.

Probably just a coincidence. As for Gotoubun and WNL, the mangaka are friends so probably that's the motive

All very reasonable...but I think it's worth pointing out that Samurai 8 was subject to a massive advertising campaign and has the promise of being from the creator of one of the biggest manga of all time, so Jump pushing S8 to the bottom so soon doesn't say exactly great things about how it's being received IMO. I could be wrong though.

Many said the position in the TOC can be choice of editors. However, why editors would put Samurai 8 below Yui Kamio (or Yuna) if they still have big expectatives for Samurai 8.

It has been a while since I've seen just a cover and been like "this could be it". The artstyle, character design, and the factthat they've already shown/likely thought out several relevant characters gets me some kind of way. If they pace it well and the actual plot is at least good enough, I think we might have our next success, in my opinion.

I'm well aware. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I just meant if I'm sound minded enough to spot a potentially great series, I would hope the average Japanese reader with their vastly superior opinions due to the many more manga they probably haven't read than me would allow them to do so, as well.

Me too, if either of these two new manga could be better than act age or we never learn in popularity it would be great already.
