I decide to create this poll question/discussion topic due to recent of latest chapter which have the fandom in diverse and mixture feeling over situation especially concerning for Zoro.

On one hand, certain others are happy on development of Zoro and see it as a power-up to catch up with others preparing for final battle at Fire Festival to face top tier opponents more while even thinking he might possibly harm/kill/defeat Kaido in the process due to the lore of Oden using weapon and hurting Kaido himself.

Another hand, certain others who disagree with Zoro choosing to getting another sword due to not 'deserving' much of it. Not just because of his battle prowess (Although, he haven't been looking good in past fights lately for others to think he earn it, let alone harming Kaido at all), but more so it belongs to Oden's family and feel that not just themselves, but Zoro would decline about it as it's more Momosuke's birthright to have it than for him to use it. Plus of earning the right to use Shusui after his battle with Ryuma at Thriller Bark since.

Another hand, others are saying Zoro shouldn't keep neither at all as it feel like it 'diminished' his reputation to use weaponry of those who already made them famous like Enma and Shusui of Oden and Ryuma respectively, so others are suggesting him using new weaponry that doesn't have fame to it or at least not that there was a famous welder that impactful to it until he claims it like Nidai or something else. He should learn to make his own weaponry of 'Black Blades' instead of taking others who have already don them as 'Black Blades', so not to right the coattails of already established blade.

Let us all discuss on the situation more here and our thoughts on the situation, but please do be respectful of others opinions and don't lash out about it. Be adults and talk/debate things out without getting heated over the discussion about this. I'll be also setting up a poll for you all to vote on your thoughts on which route should Zoro take that you think make sense not just to you, but for Zoro's character on how he will take to the situation over this.

I for one think I see Zoro taking either Nidai Route or Unknown Route more as honestly, I want Zoro to be the one to create his own fame onto his blades than using fame sword that is already 'Black Blade' by someone else. Kinda feels out it overshadows his achievement as others might remember weapon more on who hold it prior than just Zoro holding it. Feel with Zoro's pride as a Swordsman, he would want to stand as his own and use blades that fame was brought more to him than them already having fame by previous user and that goes creating his own 'Black Blades' too. That's just how I feel on the situation more honestly as I understand other opinions around from others (Though not really into idea Zoro being Yonko lvl or will harm Kaido just like that with Enma Sword that harm him before. It was skill of Oden, not Zoro who damage him, so Idk why others think he be able that lvl end of the arc or within the week just like that. Oda doesn't do powerscaling like that, but can see Zoro facing top tier other than Kaido during Festival though, let's see about that on how he progress through the arc still ;)).

I will list the info of the choices here while putting title of the 'Routes' within the choices so you all which one is label for which. Here they are:

1. (Shusui Route) - Zoro should get back Shusui and decline having Enma since it belongs to Oden's Bloodline and given to Momosuke as the true heir of the blade, not him.

2. (Enma Route) - Zoro should choose Enma and leave Shusui behind within Wano Country where it belongs out of respect for Ryuma and train his swordsmanship with new weapon.

3. (Nidai Route) - Zoro soon understanding to leave behind Shusui, but will also decline to take Enma for reasons as well (Didn't earn it and Momosuke's to wield it instead). Thus later on within arc before final battle, he come across Nidai and 'incident' to earn being it's new wielder and to replace Shusui. It be the chance to able make all 3 of his swords 'Black Blades' only by him and his fame alone with no fame of wielder prior like other swords.

4. (Unknown Route) - Neither of the options of Shusui, Nidai, and Enma happened and instead similar to Nidai one, Zoro will find a new blade to call his own that he earned or have a swordsmith (Probably Hitetsu or new character) forge a new sword for him to be his 3rd sword to use and train with before the final battle (Along with making 'Black Blades' with all 3 of his weaponry still and his fame alone with no one prior to it).

These are possible routes from what I seen among the community talking of what Zoro's chances of his 3rd sword would be. Let me know what you all think and your thoughts on whole situation regarding the chapter and future for Zoro on what could happen with him, Enjoy :)!

Moe, I always knew your power scaling was bad but if you think that one sword changes Zoro's power level from where you place him to being Yonko level, it is far worse than I could have ever imagined. I have no clue where you got that idea from in the first place, I am lying, I know where you got it, from OJ of course...
You do know I am quoting others saying, not on me thinking about it. Did you read my thread? Learn to stop acting out before you read someone's post please.

Actually I read from many areas than just OJ. Reddit, Youtube, Twitter, etc.. You be surprise how diverse community is about it than you think.

Why are you even entertaining this troll thread?
Not troll thread. I made this thread over situation. Don't act out just because others have different opinions.

Learn to stop giving too much attention to retarded people and spreading the nonsense they say. I told you several times to think with your own head.
Zoro being Yonko level because of a sword? Biggest shit I read ever.
Few others in our Chapter Discussion are saying he can kill or defeat Kaido now with weapon. Talking about them, not me lol. Again learn to read a post before bashing it with your own misguided Idea.

I don't agree with that either. My opinion says that in first post. I made this thread to commodate all routes others are thinking, not how I feel. It's said right there, man.

I hope Zoro keeps Shusui and adds Nidai Kitetsu to his collection.

Wether he will deal critical damage to Kaido with Enma or not is hard to tell, but as some people have said Zoro better give the sword to Momo.

I am sure no one here considers Zoro to be Yonko level or above as you have worded it just because if he cuts/kills Kaido. That's not how it works. I havent seen anyone besides you claim that so you probably misunderstood what someone said and got to that conclusion... Anyway, it's irrelevant.

Wow....
This is the biggest shit you ever read? Im guessing you dont read your own crap then...
OT:
i hope zoro keeps more than 3 swords after wano, he has a bond with his blades so i dont see him giving up shusui.
Whether the stuff I say is crap or not, time will tell.
I dont plan to bring the toxicity from OJ over here, if you want a proper debate I am all for it, if not, let's rather not discuss in the first place.

The man made a thread and you did not bring a proper debate, you came in with pure toxicity, so stop being a hypocrite, you are "the toxin" lol

Let the man have his discussion if he wants.

That would make him above Kaido or equal to him if he can kill or defeat him which others, have say. Not me. I don't believe that even if he gets the sword. Others been saying it, so Idk why you don't think otherwise about it.

Probably I am Magellan to try to keep him in line at times.

Though we are getting off subject here. What are your thoughts of the thread, Crono and which Route you will vote for?

Will Zoro be able to cut Kaido with Enma? It won't make him Yonko level instantly, but it's a very big step forward to him becoming more like Luffy power level wise. Which I don't have a problem with, actually.

But still, to think that of all people Kaido has fought the only two scars will be from Oden and (potentially) Zoro. Kinda insane, don't you think?

Is Enma made of some special materials?

Come to think of it, Luffy said that with haki 2.0 he might get through Kaido's scales, it means that Luffy probably won't damage Kaido's "outside layer". But for someone like Oden to leave an actual scar on Kaido's body... Swordsmanship aside he probably had to use some insane amounts of haki, most likely haki 2.0.

So hopefully Zoro masters that too lol.

Like i said,

Zoro is a very proud swordsman, so i dont see him just trading his swords like that.

I wouldnt mind if Zoro had more than 3 swords after wano, if anything add enma to his collection if momonosuke doesnt end up with his father's sword at the end of wano.

When it comes to the nidai, who knows, maybe tengu can forge the nidais together or something lol

Oden was a person who knew how to carve Poneglyphs, indestructible blocks so him being able to scar Kaido is not that surprising.
Also, there is a possibility that it wasnt Oden as there is a picture of Kaido without scar after Oden's death so it could have been Ushimaru but still, I would probably vote for Oden as the one who did it.

I imagined the process of making poneglyphs wasn't that straight forward where you directly carve the stone. That seems like a too easy of a solution. But I of course have zero clue as to how they're made.

I'm inclined to believe poneglyphs are akin to cement, first rather soft but then harden.

But anyways you brought up an interesting point. If you can cut poneglyph — that's pretty much the pinnacle of swordsmanship. There is literally nothing else left to cut.

Looks like they are carved but doesnt mean this silhouette is a 100% proof of how they are inscribed upon.
If we look closer, there are interesting details to be seen, something that looks like water splashing and some smoke or perhaps magma erupting.
Maybe they are made from a special mineral mined in Wano when it erupts from Mt Fuji and gets cooled down by seawater... 🤔

Yes, that's why I said it has to be more complicated than simply applying force/haki/whatever to carve text on them. Going by that illustrations it seems like it is a technological process, with a plentiful of phases to go through.

I wonder if Kaido is as tough as poneglyphs are...

I don't know if I can, in good conscience vote for any of those tools...so I guess I am not voting. Unknown or known. My reasoning has nothing to do with haki or grade or One Piece even because it really is a universal topic. A great blade can be beautiful, expertly crafted, it just looks sexy. A ugly blade can be with lesser materials and not as ornate but they always share one common theme. They are tools. Blades are made famous because of the user. That goes the same for many weapons.

Zoro's skill level doesn't change if you give him a different blade. What did he say when fighting Pika? Something about over the seas and 8 mountains, there is nothing HE cannot cut. Not his blades, but he himself. Similarly I don't see Sanji not being able to use sky walk if he was wearing Luffy's sandals. To put things in perspective, we saw Mihawk use a tiny little dagger to defeat Zoro when they first meet. And Zoro uses a little wannabe seppuku blade to slash open a building. The knife is just the bullet. Zoro is the one who swings it.

Another great example of this are cars. I can drive 80 mph in a nice Ram workvan buuuut a oldass Lady will drive 60 in her prius. If I was in her Prius, I can still drive at 80 no matter to vehicle. Hope that clarifies it.

In short, if Zoro gets Enma or Sushui or some random sword, it will not be an indicator of his skill. Maybe his wealth if he bought the sword lol. He will just have acquired another sword. Maybe it will look fit for a king, maybe it looks like the machete that Rambo used in Rambo 4 to gut the enemy commander as he was escaping. Or... Better yet, the Enma is modelled after Guts' Dragon Slayer sword from Berserk. Truly befitting for a monster like Zoro.

PS: why the hell are you guys talking about power levels anyways? Thought this thread was just about swords.

As far as swords go, I've always looked forward to zoro getting better swords. Mostly because the big names around tend to have famed swords. Of course, it is true that to an extent haki makes famed swords less important as haki can drastically improve a weapon's power. I would still think that under equal conditions having a better sword could/would give a swordsman an advantage over the other though.

So far zoro has 3 swords:
Wado Ichimongji (among the 21 swords)
Sandai kintetsu (no number given for this grade)
Shusui(among the 21 swords)

Out of those the one that stands out is sandai kintetsu as the lowest quality one. I've always looked forward to this sword just... breaking in combat so as to signify zoro beat its curse. And then for zoro to replace it with one of the 12 or another of the 21.

I can respect that, but Idk if Enma be permanent sword after the arc as still feels he gives it back somewhere in there.

I personally like Shusui + Wado Ichimonji + Nidai Kitetsu combination more...

Is Enma one of the top 12 swords? It should be given it belonged to Oden, but then again the sword god himself Ryuma didn't have one... Or did he?

Maybe Ryuma was 2 sword style swordsman in reality...
