Changing the subject, since Taisei, Beast and Shinobi are basically all confirmed axed with those Shoseki stats (no coming back from selling worse than Yui Kamio, methinks), any thoughts on them as works of fiction?
All garbage, Double Taisei was the best out of the 3 and that isnt saying much

I think we need to wait for actual numbers before we can conclude that all 3 are dead men walking. Jump is a lot more forgiving these days. But yeah, can't deny that all of them are flops. They're textbook cases of how not to write a manga.

TSS still has a chance of surviving even if they are relatively small.

All 3 bad more or less, and all for different reasons. Probably one of the worst batches Jump had since Momiji no Kisetsu-Kimi wo Shinrayku Seyo one.

I quite like TSS actually. Episodic adventure series suit me and most of the characters are sympathetic.

Double Taisei is losing me a bit with the last chapter(s), since the new characters are weird and the Poor Communication Kills trope is something I wish to see die in a ditch. The concept has merit though, if they would just focus a bit more on the personalities of the brothers and how their approach to life (and their environment) differs.

Beast Children... I liked the 'big bro' thing, but in general I can barely tell most of the characters apart and the MC comes across as borderline obsessive at times (like Hinata turned up to 11). I get that positive shonen heroes are all the rage now, but you gotta have some nuance.

I think TSS might still have a shot at survival, the other two are goners. But I don't actively dislike any of them (unlike Hina Change and Dear Sa-chan, both of which I dropped after three chapters).

I mean people have different opinions, right? I think the characters art was very inconsistent (yes, art is a very important thing for me, because I would read a novel or a book instead), while failing to establish the side characters properly, uninteresting MC, mishandling of the rival, the fact it took too much to get to the real sport part etc. The main issue was...no hook. There was no reason at all to continue reading.

I never read any of them besides TSS first chapter abd I thought it was really boring, so I can't say anything about that.
Are they going to be cancelled now or we will wait until a new batch to see them die?

We should know this Sunday by MangaPlus IDs if anything is ending in next 3 issues, though I find it unlikely seeing how the new batch has just started.

On the other hand...Beast has already seemingly set itself up for early cancellation.

For those who read Devily-man, did Taisei's author repeat the same mistakes? Lack of planning/focus?

Devily-man was a gag manga, so I don't think he really could've had those problems there? Though Taisei does show a lot of gag manga moments which seem really out of place in the rest of the story...

Seeing the rounds since 2010, the end of the first round and the beginning of the second one were spaced at least 5-6 issues apart and usually a lot more.

I think a new round will start in around issues #45-#47. Also Beast could prolong the match for 4 chapters for sure if it is actually the end.

TSS, Beast and Taisei have all been on sale for exactly two days.

First day numbers obviously aren't great, but Shuiesha doesn't decide a series is dead after only one day of sales. So maybe we shouldn't either.

They've cancelled series before their first volume even got released lol.

Though I'm not sure the last time they did that.

Usually I don't like this kind of argument, but it really feels like Beast Children was launched with the increased attention to Rugby from the 2019 Rugby World Cup, which will happen in Japan from 20 September – 2 November this year, in mind. I'm guessing they'll wait for that to be over and if the series hasn't caught on until then, it'll get a quick axe.

Oh yeah. Bozebeats
ZIGA, Momoji no Kisetsu and Invade You! as well. Seiji Tanaka and Alice and Taiyo barely made it past the Vol 1 mark as well.
