I wanted to discuss about the lo po bia family head ...

Since the pannel we saw him back at the name hunt station, he looked pretty cool, even though there wasn't a lot of detail about him.

SPOILER : We know for sure since Doom flashback that Yasratcha was involved and may have done horrible things to baylord brothers (at the very least to Doom)

What are your expectations about him ? Will we soon as the next family head ? What will be his personnality ? Will he be nice to Baam ?

I think all FHs used the Tower inhabitants as mere tools and simply disregarded their Feelings, pretty much like the Workshop does. Not that they are evil, they simply lack empathy in most of the cases. As If they became numb over time.

Its common for Gustang to be revealed as a supporter of rogue elements against Jahad, as happened in the Garam Jahad arc.

I would not be surprised to learn Gustang spent thousands of years forming alliances with FUG and other groups who oppose Jahad which would naturally make him an ally of Bam and friends.

If that happens, I think it will be due to Gustang saying Bam's father was the worst person he ever met.

Bam will inherit the grudge between V and Gustang from his father. "Sins of the father" passed on to the son.

Or maybe Just rationale: If Gustang despises V and Bam is like V, he doesn't want Jahad to be dethroned. He doesn't seem to care so much about his family's wellbeing, he sent Eurasia Anne Jahad to become a Princess. Maybe he simply made a chess move when he put all his family on the line to get the bracelet, even If he doesn't oppose Jahad for real.

I think the lo po bia family work basically as enforcers for the empire and they will go to any lengths for greater influence. Regarding yaratcha... to me its fairly clear he used his anima abilities against the bayroad brothers. Even before the bayroads were shown it made sense that for them as canine people to be enemies of the lo po bia. I wonder if the principle with which doom controls his people is similar to how animas work....

I tend to think that the way Doom is controling canine people is the same as Yasratcha controlling shineuhs and humans.

The reference here is that they are loyal as dogs to the owner. I know the lo Po Bia is nowhere near restricted to canine anima, I Just think the first experiences with them by SIU are a way to showcase them as Jahad's hounds. I think similarly Po Bidau's reference is likely birds of prey, something subconsciously done by SIU to show how merciless they are. Remember I said It First.

Siu never said that gustang was a villain, the person who translated the blog translation at the time made a mistake, it was confirmed by adios, funny how a mistranslation can mislead people view of a character.

I think the Lo Po Bia family has been in particular positioned as one of the more antagonistic of the Ten Families. With Elaine's story. And those twins Bia princesses that are hassling Androssi. Not to mention Lo Po Bia Ren's whole deal with Anak and the plotline there. So this Beylord thing is just one more thing adding to that theme that Lo Po Bia are villains.

SIU seems to be working that angle a lot and I expect whenever we get that princess arc we we're promised they're going to be the main villains of that too, probably.

Joking aside, we know about the wolf family, dog family, and now cats.

In the picture we also see a snake, a ram, a deer, and what looks to be a fish on the right and a shark on the upper left. Unless these are just random animals but... fish and shark in the forest, wtf?

I wouldn't put it past SIU to actually do that.

It's something I expect we'll see ToG explore in the near future since there is setup for it with Elaine, Androssi, Anak, and now Yama. Thier anima power also seems like something that potentially pretty troublesome too. Elaine as Kaiser performed pretty well against Baam, for example.

They seem to take the place of summoners/shaman. That's what I think that animal vibe is all about.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Beylord doggy powers are also somehow an extension of those anima type abilities or abilties that used to compete in the same space as they did. That's kind of a classic shaman thing. Have somebody channel a bear god or something to gain bear powers. We've seen this with ancients already.

So I wonder if we're going to find out that's where the Beylords came from. Either a Lo Po Bia experiment or something similar.

In fact the only two native ones/ancients we have seen have been sealed inside humans. Humans controlling them, a form of a curse, like the LPB control animas...
