Personally, I wanted to keep it up simply because it's *the* hot topic currently. Even if I added a new poll, we're still going to be discussing Samurai 8 even after the new poll is posted.

It's been discussed here that Kimestu beating OP is not in the realm of impossibility at this point. It's gonna be hard but if certain conditions are met, it can happen.

Seeing again the releases for October, what a stacked month for Shonen Jump and even Plus have some good releases too with Spy x Family at the top, meanwhile November will be dreadful, basically just Haikyuu + Stone and WNL lol

Man, you really have some problem with people here talking about Yaiba sales, you were talking like this few months ago about the manga even being in the top 5 of the best selling, laughing about the possibility of Yaiba beating Neverland and now the manga is already beating Kingdom.

Essentially, KnY's backlog sales have to maintain post-anime, and OP's next volume has to underperform in order for KnY to beat out OP this year.

It's not impossible, but it is unlikely.

Well I think it's enough for KnY to be in top 3, that's by far a major achievement. Just let's see how it goes this month and the first weeks of November. Also in October 20 there will be a special event, maybe they will release a new PV for the movie and again have another boost (not the same as this week obviously).

That I don't agree with. People said the same about Avatar until Endgame beat it. It was a massive achievement for a movie to hit 2 billion, and yet, Avatar did over 700 million ON TOP of that. And Avatar kept it's crown for nearly 10 years.

There's a lot that needs to happen, and it's ridiculously rare to the point of absurdity, but I think it is possible.

Hence why I said "probably". The chances are minimum, but they are there.

I don't think Shueisha really cares much about how Samurai 8 will perform if you're talking about anime adaptation, it just needs to sell enough for SJ let Kishi do whatever he wants and it will get a anime for sure, a anime of a new Masashi Kishimoto work have plenty of potential of being very lucrative for Shueisha in worldwide terms.

What truth? like i said, you were laughing like this about the possibility of Yaiba being in the top 5 and beating Neverland, and now is already beating Kingdom, everybody knows that beating One Piece is something "unlikely" to happen but you're the one that has been underestimating the manga since the beginning.

It is too early. I think we will get a new PV at Jump Festa.

Regarding the question of S8 and anime, it's up for debate. Anime is for Shueisha a marketing tool for their manga, so if the Samurai 8 manga is deemed unprofitable, then...no, especially considering the time it takes for anime to be produced. The possibility also exists that production on an anime started before the manga even begun, though, with how Shueisha has been treating the series, I see that as...unlikely at best.
