Yui Kamio is selling like 5k, S8 beating it is hardly an "achievement". The fact that you're making the comparison at all is more telling.

Legit, going into this year, did anyone here expect a no name Jump SQ author and the creator of Fire Punch to create manga that would end up outselling Kishimoto?

I've never say it is an "achievement"

I compare because Yui Kamio vol 2 started in position 46 in its first day (before its terrible fall). Also, Kamio Yui and Samurai 8 are the "top" of the bottom in the TOC.

Damn. Kinda of really want to see S8 at least pull through and grow. The art and story has really improved as the series went on.

Had a really rocky start, and Kishimoto definitely started the story off extremely weak. But now I’m pretty invested in the world.

I wouldn’t exactly be heartbroken if it were forced to end early. But I’m interesting in seeing where the series goes.

S8 will grow starting from 3rd volume.
Damn Rain specter seems to be that infamous guy on Twitter I've heard so much about always bringing up S8 and trying to show it's initial under performance thinking this will last forever lol.

It is pretty difficult Samurai 8 will grow.

I mean WSJ still put Samurai 8 in the bottom of the TOC (under Kamio Yui). In itself, that isn't a good sign.

I think it’s strange that their promo for the actual volume doesn’t match their promo within the magazine itself.

With the large estimated initial print, the thousands of flyers they printed out for it, you’d think that Jump would have been putting S8 near the front of the magazine and giving it color pages regardless of how well it was doing in the weekly polls.
