Wait, going by Shoseki rankings, KnY volume is selling better than TPN.

Does that mean that KnY is bigger than BnHA now?:derp

Maybe you are sadistic.
Liked for the KnY comment. But naw I genuinely looking forward to 4th season, maybe because the fights will look cool animated.

Love how you're boiling down "Samurai 8 is severely under-preforming, why", a subject which has potentially big repercussions for Jump, into just us complaining.
Discussion about S8 is fine but when it gets to the point that its the only thing that its been talking about in this thread, when the last days its only been about S8, when almost from the last 55 pages more than half its about S8, its gets pretty f***ing annoying.

Also, you should stop trying to boiling down people that's been saying this. We get it, S8 is bad/a failure/overpushed/etc. to you. Each time it cames up, even when people tried to start another topic, you say it over and over again the same things of why is happening, you dont have to. If someone will repond you, fine, but it feels like you are so much in need to remind people of your reasoning about S8, that you put the same responses over and over again even though you already have explained yourself pages ago.

A tip, even tho I know you will ignored it because thats the way you are: Just let it go, atleast until we have the Oricon numbers, really, is not that hard.

I really wish Jump would adopt some universal new break system like a break every 4 weeks or every 7 weeks for long running weekly series. It's pretty sad following long running serials and knowing it'll probably go downhill by the end (like imo almost all long runners I've read have) because the author loses drive from overwork.

Egawa called the people complaining about Yuuna having inappropriate content "brain-dead idiots" and argued Barefoot Gen was the most damaging manga for children. The guy is the last person I'd take manga advice from.

Funny cuz mostly 18+ and older people are buying manga🙃, espcially the ecchi ones

Tatsuya Endo takes a page out of Matsui's AC and doesn't forget about the children demographic. Also unique unfamiliar settings that we haven't seen in a while.

It took almost 50 pages for everyone to agree Samurai 8 is not a hit, and we are still discussing it!? 1000 pages couldn't come any sooner.
Definitely it's failing because of others, since they don't have any patience which is their fault.
This statement sum up all of your argument. God Kishi can do no wrong. It's all our fault for not buying something we aren't interested in.

Oh, we move on already? Great, time to actually read and discuss other 18 series in jump

Even if S8 complete flops and is axed in a month Jump will be 100% A-Okay.
Even if Jump overprinted and spent too much on Promo, it’s unlikely that they’d take a noteworthy hit financially that it would cause them “huge repercussions”.

Jump has had other recent successes, like SxF which has exceeded expectations. And they’ll surely gain other successes within the next year.

Surely Jump expected much more from S8, but despite the disappointment, the magazine isn’t going to take a significant hit from it

So, with the contents of Vol 1 all laid out, what chances do you guys think Yozakura has?

How many series do you think will start on WSJ? 2, 3, 4 or 5? And will we have 20 series or maybe in the next months the count will drop to 18?

We have Taisei, Beast Children and TSS probably at the end, so we should have 4. But at this time of the year, Jump never serialized more than 3 series.
Also, we have the mysterious author too that should arrive in the next two weeks.

I love Yozakura so far. I don't know if it's going to explode out of the gate, but I would be legitimately baffled if it didn't survive.

October author was a rare instance of Heiji falling for a hoax.

As for the new series deal, I'd say we're getting three newcomers now in the next month with Taisei, Beast and Shinobi being canceled, then TPN will end, Jump will wait a little bit, then launch another batch in January to replace it, Yui Kamio, and WNL.

Oh, I didn't knew there was a misunderstanding for october.
For TPN, unless Shirai isn't planning an ending in 6 chapters, will not end before february. I think they'll wait for the anime at least.
For WNL, after the last chapter, I'm not so convinced it will end right away. Yes, is in the final phase, but Tsutsui can drag it on for at least a year.

Mangaplus has a banner for Neverland saying "the finale comes to a climax" which usually would indicate an ending very soon.

How much does Neverland need to fill out the volume? Though it could be filled with extra things/previous oneshots too, so I don't know.

7 chapters to finish Vol 18.

WNL, per my estimate, has about 11 left.

In my opinion there are still too many things outstanding on Neverland to make it end up in a dozen chapters.

152-160 is Volume 18, 161-169 volume 19. I see it ending in 15~ chapters, not less.
