Well, if we're going to be accurate, Vol. 1 did 12k and Vol. 2 did 11k in 3 Days Before the Oricon Ranking was cut off for that week. Shouldn't we wait and see what a full week looks like for it before passing ultimate Judgement?

Or at least compare it to other Jump Manga 3 day debut? I'd like to know what MHA, Kimetsu, TPN, Dr. Stone and BC did their first 3 days.
The Promised Neverland 1 - 24,380 (3)
We Never Learn 1 - 16,014 (3)
Yuuna 1 - 29,743 (3)

MHA, HQ, STONE, JJK and the other series didnt debut with a 3 day week until several volumes later

Is it still possible to find out what they did in their first 3 days though?

Lol, sorry man, I should've been more clear. I meant is there a way to see a break down for their vol. 1 first week sales by days?

No, afaik. There ain't really daily charts that come with concrete numbers, as far as I'm aware. Otherwise, they would most likely be debated here.

You do realize that there were adverts for all of the Jump manga being sold that week in those pamphlets right?

And of course lets not forget the PUSH meme being the reason why nobody takes the TOC seriously anymore.

Sam8's campaign should be ridiculed but its not the only time Shuiesha had done an aggressive push campaign for a series this decade the only difference is that the campaign worked for a few series but failed for many others.

Both had author recommendations, Neverland had two AmeTalk appearances and Aniplex has been agressively shilling Kimetsu the latest volume came with limited edition anime bookmarks hence the abnormallly high sales this week and the releasing why they've been scrapling volumes for high marks online. Don't you dare say neither had an aggressive marketing campaign.
I think the huge difference is that TPN and Kimetsu only started really getting a super push once they proved to have a audience and fanbase. Where as S8 has a huge push without even the first chapter being released

Not possible, but I can give you their first week sales from volume 1 if you'd like

So we can say Samurai 8 is Act-Age tier?

As it was mentioned, we don't have that information

However, I think you can still compare "Vol 1 of 3 days" with "Vol 1 of 4 or 5 days".

After all, most of its sales will happen in the first days.

been avoiding S8 talks since it's getting repetitive
so I'll approach from a different angle

do we know what was the first print for each S8 volume?
if they printed 30k then i think this is ok
if they printed 50k then this is underperforming
if they printed 100k then this is a disaster
if they gave it a print as big as Hero/Neverland/Hq/KnY then heads will start flying and hopefully Nak will be among them
If the comparison between the massive promotion x photos of piles of Samurai 8 volumes stuck in bookstores are any indicative I think the print number was around 100k per volume, therefore a disaster.
Do you mean the print number of those series have now or when they started? My Hero Academia had serious shortage in first volume for example.

Tpn and spy had ~50k initial first print first volume consider they sold around that (38k and ~40k)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Samurai has AC initial first print, which was 300,000

I don't think they are crazy enough for that. Some people will lose their jobs.

Moonland is setting up a new arc. Looks like it won't be ending any time soon.

Wouldn't that be incredibly stupid? I mean, the series HAD been hanging out with the bottom-dwellers in the TOC for several weeks already before these volumes were released. It's not like they had no warning at all.

I think double-release does more harm than goodto the series. Not only its double the lost on overprinted, it also erases the opportunity for earlier feedback that could help Kishk improve his story, and prepare better for second volume sales.
On one hand it makes sense because the story doesn't actually pick up until volume 2 but on the other hand they're pretty much saying there's no reason to buy the first volume since nothing happens and its boring so what exactly is the point other than getting people up to speed quickly so they don't lose interest after the first volume?
You two are trying to read too munch into it, it's not a super rare practice with veterans coming back, Toriko and Kyoukai no Rinne (released after Inuyasha) had the first two volumes being released at the same time, is just "hype" tactic because the author is known.
