I'd love to see a fantasy sport manga. Like Quidditch or Blood Bowl or some other fancy or magical idea with humans, elves, dwarves, etc. I mean, it cannot fail harder than Beast Children plus I cannot remember reading a fantasy sport manga. I know that some manga series got their own board or card games or even own sports as part of world-building but it is never the focus of a manga series.

Also about Shueisha, since in Japan the funding in anime is made with the committee system, Shueisha will be part of some and in others they'll just license the series to other companies. For example, One Piece don't have Shueisha on the committee, just Fuji TV and Toei Animation, while My Hero Academia have them on it. So yeah, in some cases a company will make an offer to adaptation, or a studio or Shueisha itself, an then the committee will be created with other companies entering it on different fields. It's a bit complicated but at the same time not really.
As an example, here are the committee of all the Shonen Jump anime since 2017 with the companies in order by the amount of funding:

Is Shueisha being apart of the committees a more recent thing or has it been a case-by-case basis? Cuz if it’s a more recent development, then it’d make sense why they aren’t on the committee for One Piece.

It's case by case since they aren't on Boruto and Black Clover, for example. They're involved on the anime (generally planning) but not in putting money on the project.
I've noticed that HeroAca's entire backlog is back all around the lower parts of Shoseki these past couple days. It seems S4 is having some effect, although a fairly small one.

I mean, S4 has barely started. And what it started with was a filler episode. And the actual television broadcast of that episode was delayed in Japan due to the typhoon.
You'll probably want to wait until farther into the season to see whether it will or won't provide a significant boost to manga sales.
Ehh Dr. Stone? meh, was expecting Haikyuu or Black Clover, they really took time to give another for the manga but honestly, Haikyuu should totally be the cover and lead cp after the last chapter...

Black Clover is definitively getting one of the 4 remaining issues covers, to that way all Jump veterans would have 3 covers. Then the 3 remaining covers could be 3 newbies or One Piece + 2 newbies.
Again, I see Jujutsu not getting any cover until May 2020. For some reason, Nakano doesn't like Jujutsu and Act-age lol
