That's also the best selling volume in terms of monthly and weekly sales. Well, I guess the reprints MHA ends up getting help making the number bigger, it got one not too long ago since the anime is coming back.
Plus I think Shueisha likes to make urgent reprints announcements and frame it like ''Our manga are so popular that they are out of stock already!'', which is probably part of the reason they low-balled KnY. It also makes S8 look even worse.
I noticed that post-Bleach, the only Jump series to reach 50 million volumes (in print?) is Gintama. And it took 70+ to do so. Just seems a lot harder nowadays, having to go for that many volumes while maintaining really good sales. MHA may be able to reach that if it goes long enough. I'm not sure if Haikyuu will be able to.

1. One Piece: 455 millions
2. Hunter x Hunter: 72 milions
3. Haykyuu: 33 milions
4. My Hero: 24 millions
5. Neverland: 16 millions
6. Kimetsu: 12 milions
7. Black Clover: 9,5 millions
Literally cancelled RxL from a veteran mangaka despite selling better than most debut manga. Cancelled Toriko two years ago which was a much more well regarded series than BC and posted sales similar to BC's numbers right now before being cancelled. Your argument has no validity.
You're just doing comparisons without any context behind, Toriko having higher sales or a higher peak doesn't mean anything regarding Black Clover's future, Toriko ended after 8 years of serialization with the story had long reached its peak in quality and without any anime or any sort of promotion, and it still took a good time to get rushed.
So what this means for Black Clover? nothing, different manga, different expectations, different times, i really doubt that Shonen Jump editors decide things based in comparisons with how older mangas perfomed or who had the highest peak in sales, they care about current times and Black Clover is doing perfectly good at the moment, is a worldwide success in both anime and manga (which Toriko failed to be, getting limited to just Japan), so again, why would Black Clover be in any slightly danger?
You're being fictitious. Its in a boost period now and those are never a marker to how a series is currently selling especially for a series as frontloaded as Kimetsu is right now. Haikyuu was doing slightly higher numbers years back then stabilized shortly after once newcomers had their fill.

Aren't you taking my comment too seriously? it doesn't matter how you look at it, at this moment Yaiba is outselling (by a good margin) both Neverland and BNHA current numbers, and this with stock problems, which means for now is the 2nd best selling manga on Shonen Jump (not counting Hiatus x Hiatus).
Dr.Stone is a good series that deserves more sales then it receives.
Though, I still have the theory that it IS a popular series in the magazine, it’s just a series where it’s fanbase follow it in the magazine and don’t buy the volumes.
Not saying that it would be a juggernaut of a series if it every single fan was buying the series.
Just that, I think it’s legitimately placed high on the TOC and gets a lot of color pages because readers enjoy it and it’s genuinely earning its spots. And it’s not editorial “force” pushing it
Actually its not. Hell every volume has yet to even cross a million. From what we see with volume 17s numbers is that its incredibly front-loaded and it has nothing to do with the "stock problems" since people are buying the previous volumes in sets alongside v17. Boost period numbers tell us nothing other than the rate of people who are buying it in drones once it stabilizes is when we'll see where it stands hence why making stupid comments like that come to bite you in the ass doen the pipeline.
Did you even read my comment? i'm saying that the current volume of Kimetsu no Yaiba is outselling (by a good margin) the current Neverland and BNHA volume numbers and FOR NOW is the 2nd best selling manga on Shonen Jump, simple, you're just trying to spin this for whatever reason when i'm not even being that serious about, chill out and before calling people's comment stupid, you should learn how to interpret what people are saying in their comments...

That makes no sense. If the series was really that popular it would be selling a lot more than it is. Why is that Stone is the ONLY exception to this rule but the series that spans over 50 years aren't? Now bare in mind there are series that were popular in the magazine to compensate for their lackluster sales but they weren't put in the front of every issue and recieved color pages constantly so its either Nakano pulling strings are Stone fans don't actually care about the series as a whole to support it.

And I'm saying that those numbers are worthless because its in a boost period that's not an actual representation of its sales numbers. You obviously pointed this out to make it seem bigger than what it already was, yeah the current volume of Kimetsu is outselling two series in which their anime are not airing currently or who are not in the same boost period no shit sherlock, so what you're saying holds no water other than to flame and if you were being serious it would be considered stupid.

This was the same theory people had to why Hinomaru Zumo stayed in the magazine for so long despite being an incredibly low seller.
I see no reason why editorial would continue “pushing” a series and not cancelling a series that isn’t matching the alledged promo their forcing if they aren’t getting results. Why would they still continue to give it color pages and push it, if the push hasn’t been working for 3+ years
And there’s a such thing as being a fan of something, but not obsessing over it to the point of wanting every volume of it.
It’s very possible that in an anthology magazine like Jump, there may be a series or two that I enjoy reading in conjunction with the other series in the magazine, but I may not be THAT diehard of a fan that I want to go out and buy every single volume of it. I may just enjoy it as a weekly read, and that’s all.

And again. I’m not claiming that Stone is possibly some MEGA INSANE pillar of a series.
I’m just saying, that we all 100% know for a fact that the TOC isn’t actually a ranking system, and things aren’t placed in order of survey results.
It’s very well realistic that that Stone is placed at the top so much because the survey results may show that that’s where readers like it.
I just think the theory and jokes that Jump has been consistently MEGA PUSHING a series for nearly 4 years now, hoping that it would become that next House Hold title, despite it not showing any signs of becoming that insanely huge title, makes even less sense.
I’m pretty sure at this point they know exactly what sales their expecting for Stone.
