And I'm saying that those numbers are worthless because its in a boost period that's not an actual representation of its sales numbers. You obviously pointed this out to make it seem bigger than what it already was, yeah the current volume of Kimetsu is outselling two series in which their anime are not airing currently or who are not in the same boost period no shit sherlock, so what you're saying holds no water other than to flame and if you were being serious it would be considered stupid.
Man, what's your problem? don't you understand that i'm not being serious about it? i just made a comment pointing out that Yaiba current volume it's outselling by a good margin both Neverland and BNHA current numbers and you act super serious and even like a asshole about it as if i made the comment with intentions or to "flame" (whatever that means) lol
Zumo got next to no promotion and color pages up until its anime premiere in comparison to Dr. Stone which had its series promoted on AmeTalk before its first volume came out. Zumo's rankings reflected it overall popularity.
I see no reason why editorial would continue “pushing” a series and not cancelling a series that isn’t matching the alledged promo their forcing if they aren’t getting results. Why would they still continue to give it color pages and push it, if the push hasn’t been working for 3+ years
The current editorial staff are in a completely different mindset than they were a decade ago and don't seem to be in a hurry to cancel as many series as they used to and instead make them grow. The truth of the matter is that It won't hurt to keep Stone in the magazine but neither to cancel it.
And there’s a such thing as being a fan of something, but not obsessing over it to the point of wanting every volume of it.
I’m just saying, that we all 100% know for a fact that the TOC isn’t actually a ranking system, and things aren’t placed in order of survey results.
It’s very well realistic that that Stone is placed at the top so much because the survey results may show that that’s where readers like it.
But not enough to actually buy it. Even though every series that has been in the top of the magazine for long periods of time have went on to become top sellers making Stone the ONLY exception to the rule. That's a bit of a stretch.
I just think the theory and jokes that Jump has been consistently MEGA PUSHING a series for nearly 4 years now, hoping that it would become that next House Hold title, despite it not showing any signs of becoming that insanely huge title, makes even less sense.
I mean they did this shit with Toriko years ago and it backfired hard and it doesn't help that with Stone is that they actually got caught trying to make it seem it was a bigger deal than it actually was (remember them using bots to inflate the views of the first PV). At this point its obvious that they were way off with their prospects for the series and are just going about with the usual promotion until the anime ends.
I’m gonna be honest... Kimetsu boost has been so huge that even when things stabilize, it’s got a pretty solid chance at staying at #2 in terms of volume to volume sales. Well know for sure in December, when HeroAca comes out swinging with an anime and a movie to go with its Volume 25.

It won't stabilize for a good while or at least we'll know this come the restock. Even if it doesn't beat OP by the end of the year it can beat it in the first half of 2020 if it keeps up the momentum.

The first chapter ranked 1# I believe which the only other series to do that was Eyeshield 21 but yeah it was most in the lower middle to bottom after that through most of it run.

Sumo consistently had some of the highest colour page counts in the magazine for the first 3 or so years of its serialisation. It even had the most one year iirc. Towards the end it was still getting a ton so it never really slowed down. Definitely a different situation to Stone, but it at least got plenty of CPs.
Found it interesting that it’s epilogue chapter got like 400k views and over 1000 comments in 24 hours. First real data we’ve seen outside of sales. People certainly read it, just never went out and bought it,
I don't remember this being posted here, but Youtaiju's changing the release dates of their comics and books rankings in two weeks. They are going to release all of them every friday starting on 11/01.
Oh shit, thats not as good as its previous placement lol, at least aint bottom 5, guess Yozakura still has some ways to go
Still waiting for that Chainsawman cover
Ohhh Samurai 8 finally leaving the bottom, now we're talking, but sad with Yozakura-san being placed middle lower and also the lack of color page for S8....
Tokyo Grand Horror Channel is a one shot or a horror one shot festival?
KNY volumes 7, 8 and 10 are all under #200 on Shoseki Daily and volume 9 is already under #150. They might drop out of the top 500 anytime soon since the reprints for those volumes only go out on the 31st. KNY beat OP another day, by the way.
