Furudate match usually takes 6 months to 1 years , if he is serious about the olimpics it would take years( the nationals were like 160s chapter ).
I could be wrong(i tough it would be a second year) but captain tsubasa World youth didn't end after the USA World cup.
My top 5 of this decade would be (in that order): HQ>Hinomaru>Saiki>WNL>KnY
CSM almost made it.
Really curious how long the last arc of HQ is going to be. I don't really like the direction the series is taking but I'll trust Furudate since the writing was consistently great so far. Hopefully it'll last a few more years. :v
Nice, Act Age finally gets a cover. Jujutsu Kaisen is left. Hopefully we don’t get the cover unusually late, then, since not many people tend to care about Act-Age, at least for now.
Also excited about Mato Seihei no Slave getting a special Jump chapter, maybe? It’s been selling okay for Jump+ standards, though I was worried that this may be only because of the author (who also wrote Akame ga Kill). This relieves me, I’ve actually been enjoying it.
Yaiba is receiving so much hype it’s kinda getting dangerous, actually. These numbers, the poll, it’s really nice to see the series blowing the fuck up but I’m worried it might hit a limit. Or it could just be FOMO speaking. (Tbh, I haven’t had time to finish the Yaiba anime and that’s something I really have to fix.)
Haikyuu is in its final arc? Fuck, man. These next few years are gonna be something else. It’s beginning to feel like 2016 all over again.
I still don't understand why HQ is ending. They could have easily added another year in high school, with new characters. Instead, it seems like the writer decided to ditch everyone and go straight for the epilogue.
Were the sales that bad, or did he just feel it would get too repetitif?
Adding a whole extra year would be like direct anti-hype. We've already seen the whole competition and seen them battle all these teams and seen all their specialities defeated, we really don't need to see another 300 chapters of the same thing with a couple characters switched out for new ones.
If it doesn't want to end the standard sports manga way then it's more interesting to do it this way than to repeat itself with less impact.
For the lurkers who didn't still answer this but are active here. What would be your 5 favorite WSJ manga from this decade (2010-2019)? Manga that started in this decade, so One Piece isn't a valid answer.

Less than 50 chapters. More than that would be too much and undeserved.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes in this batch. The fact it's going to be at Chapter 33 without any Color Pages since Chapter 2 is telling me enough.
If those HQ spoilers are true then we are already in alt reality territory since Japan did not qualify for 2016 Olympics lol. I laughing way harder than I should
