Giyuu should be able to somewhat help Tanjiro. He could just pick up a sword from a random demon slayer corps to replace his broken one. Base Giyuu was shown to be comparable to Base Sanemi during their sparring so Marked Giyuu should also be comparable to Marked Sanemi. And we saw that Sanemi can fight while his guts were nearly spilling out. So Giyuu should still be able to fight despite his injuries. He definitely won’t do as good as Tanjiro against Muzan but he should still be able to help a bit.

how is Giyu gonna stall muzan and contribute He won t last a minutes with his current abilities. Instead continously arguing with me try to justify your reason you think he make difference against Muzan??

What he gonna do use four style and third style on Muzan. He won t even damage him anyway?

Himejima and Sanemi stall Koku but they never defeat him and get obliterate by Koku eventually weren t for Tokito and Genya?
One minute is a lot in the current setting. They need to stall Muzan for as long as possible until everyone else arrives. That's the point - Giyuu can't deal long-lasting damage, but he can buy time. Leaving Tanjirou alone is a recipe for disaster.

Question is how? Giyu using broken sword is offensives techiques are third, fourth and ten style. This techiques are unfortunately won t work or stall Muzan at all. Didn t work against Akaza at all either when he got serious let alone Muzan. One minutes is ain t good enough either. You think all pillars and everyone will arrive here at one minute?

I am not arguing any further until you give me a valid reason that Giyu is gonna contribute well and make different. I think Giyu should leave and get reinforcements.

Quite frankly, I am thinking that there is a good chance that the author will actually rely on the power of friendship to defeat musan. Musan is simply way too OP. Dunno how much stronger he is than UM one but odds are that muzan won't will himself to death via regret, which is what ultimately actually defeat him rather than the pillars.

I am also unclear on what the relevance of tanjiro's last move is. Are we to assume that it is a move that can end muzan somehow? The issue appears to be that muzan just won't die from getting his head cut. So even if the sun breath has 1000 breaths and each one is more OP than the last and boosted by nakaba powerup... it only matters if it helps expose muzan to the sun. And of course, the demon slayers don't have any means of actually restraining muzan to wait him out.

And also... if this whole thing is going to be decided by power of friendship.... poor giyu.

yeah like making Giyu fighting alonside Tanjiro is any better. He is liability at this point. He is of no use here.

His broken sword probably can t cut a demon head off.

Giyu is useless at the state he is in. Tanjiro don t be a dumbrain and don t let giyu join the fight until all allies are here.
Tanjiro alone can't cut Muzans head right now. You can still block and parry attacks with a broken sword.

Neither of them can fight Muzan but Giyuu still has more experience and if anything can provide support. Having Giyuu leave now is stupid considering they were still going after the demons despite his sword being broken.

I get you might have a bias for Tanjiro but think realistically.

You're always asking how how fucking how.... back when they were fighting upper moon 1 did you know exactly how Genya or Muichiro would contribute and lead the other two pillars to victory?

No, that's the point. Genya played a big part in getting them the win. You could not come up with a scenario in how he'd get them the win. You probably thought Genya should leave the fight because he's a liability.

I'm pretty sure Giyuu with his experience and skills, despite having a broken sword, can assist Tanjiro in STALLING for time until other people show up.

If you really think he can't contribute ANYTHING despite what we've seen then you're just simply not smart. If you want to ignore what's been presented in the story to support your own idea then fine, but don't disregard a character as useless and a liability simply because of a few injuries and a broken sword. Sure he can't do everything to the best of his ability but he's still able to do something. & whether you like it or not Tanjiro NEEDS all the help he can get.

I agree that Giyuu wouldn't be USELESS but to say that he would go toe to toe with him until help arrived, I can't really picture that. And even IF the help does arrive, it's not like they would help, let's say the 2 pillars that beat upper moon 1 come and help, would that help at this point? NO. Like I just said in my previous post, the only way they will be able to even have a lick of a chance of beating Muzan is to bring him outside, which means the defeat of UM4 comes first before anything else, which is why if you're a Giyuu fan you may want to have Mitsuri and Iguro get this fight done quickly, or else it'll be not only a quick death Giyuu but everyone else there.

Also, I think we need to hold back on this Muzan is invincible thing. I mean yes he killed many demon slayers in such little time, but come on now those guys were babies compared to the pillars and you could argue the top 3 UM could have all done the same thing. I'm not saying he NOT as powerful as the the rest of the upper moons, I'm just saying lets not all crown him all of a sudden for taking out trash tier demon hunters. Another thing is the demon antidote.

I'm gonna say it DID work, but not fully yet. I think the drug is inside Muzan but has yet to take its effect. Almost a bit like how Kocho poison didn't come into play until WAY later. I'm going to say after UM4 goes down and the fortress crumbles, The antidote will now start to take its effect on Muzan, and he will slowly and slowly begin to turn back into a human.
.............
Or you know, it really just didn't work because Muzan daddy is that much of a boss.:hip

I think the fight with the new 4th moon will make or break the situation. The 4th moon is the on who maintains the domain. If they can kill her by after dawn, then they can kill Muzan, but I doubt that's going to happen. Most likely, the 4th moon will be killed before dawn, and Muzan will somehow run away. In order to do this, he'll probably do what he did when he first met Tanjiro, turn people into Oni and then run of.

So you believe the story will continue after this? I would love that really but, it seems so unlikely.

Oh im not saying he'll go toe to toe.

But having him help stall is better than leaving Tanjiro by himself.

Not arguing you are the same @ Gallon still can t come with valid reason how Giyu gonna contribute and make the difference.

If you guys want Giyu to die so badly. Then staying is the most logical one should say that at least,Instead of saying stay and fight yet unable to have any excuses to prove how Giyu is gonna make a difference and contribute with the state he is in instead of becoming liability.

Not arguing read post I said to Gallon. Until you give me valid reason How giyu gonna make different and how he will contribute instead of being liability. I am not arguing none of you can give me valid excuses how is gonna make difference besides getting himself kill.

Gotouge is gonna kill of Giyu staying and fight would be easiest solution.

If you guys gonna start saying swords skills and experience. Read the same post I said when I argue with gallon. I am not repeating myself.

Well wouldn't say anything, for starters, we FINALLY got an update on how the UM4 battle is going which is STILL at a standstill and apparently Tanjiro vs Muzan is already kicking off, with more people that will likely come help in time. My only question is about this chapter is who grabbed Mitsuri near the end of the chapter? is it friend or foe? It would make sense tho that they would send back up there since this whole time, they haven't been able to put a scratch on her yet, so maybe it could be Yushiro that now gone mad.

I think some translation said that Muzan was telling them to stop weeping for the dead or something like. They should just move on with life and get a normal job and stop thinking that the dead would ever come back.

Giyuu sees that Tanjirou is grasping his sword tightly to the point that it could break and tries to calm him down.

Muzan: “Persistent. You truly are persistent. I’m getting bored and tired. If you opened your mouth, you would remember your parent’s old acquaintances and their siblings’ and learn of their foolishness. You guys survived and that should have been been enough.”
Tanjirou: “What the hell are you talking about?”
Muzan: “A dead human cannot revive themselves. You should have lived a quiet life by earning money every day without being so fixated on it.”
Tanjirou: “Muzan, you’re a being that shouldn’t even exist.”
His anger surfaces.

Maybe He's trying to pull an Aizen and tell them how weak they are just to anger them and get them off their rhythm
