I know aside for Shoseki, Tsutaya and Honto are sites which tracks daily sales of manga volumes, though usually Shoseki is the closest to Oricon since it tracks more stores in Japan.

I'm curious what the standards are for previously successful authors, we know now there's an official 3 strikes rule for newbies but

Like looking back through the list of series, Satoshi Ikezawa, the Circuit no Ookami creator, started with a probably flop, then had a hit, then 2 flops, then a hit, then 2 flops (granted things were a bit different in the 70s and 80s but still).

I think there's a couple more situations like that where they switch between hits and flops but I don't know if there's ever been a creator with a big hit followed by 3 successive flops, . Mainly I'm thinking about if Shiibashi for example could just keep going if he does a third flop or if he'd also be done. Though of course after 3 flops in a row a creator probably wouldn't want to keep trying anyway.

Shiibashi had 2 flops, kamio yui and illegal rare, Nuraryhion is far from a failure, after all the manga lasted 220 chapters, and had a 2 seasons anime.
If he wants to jump back to another job, no problem.
Or even, they could transfer Kamio yui to jump +.

I went to from being excited to 'meh' to feeling annoyed with all the circlejerking and shitposting. I can't even imagine how bad its will be when the official best seller list is out. Be prepared for "breaking news" with titles like this: "One Piece is officially dethroned by Demon Slayer", "Demon Slayer is the new king of shounen, outselling even One Piece", "Demon Slayer surpasses One Piece as the the best selling manga title", etc. At that point we'll need a fleet of 18-wheelers to carry all the bandwagoners.

Yep, you're going to see people with those "breaking news" post despite the individual volume sales telling a different story. I've seen more KnY/non-OP "fans" claim that One Piece fans are triggered over this and trying as best as they could to rub it in when in reality there's not that many that are triggered by Kimetsu surpassing One Piece. Tbh I think it's more non-OP fans than it is KnY fans.

Can confirm. There’s been some r/manga posts about it and they’ve all been downvoted to hell because people are already tired of it.
