I think the issue with MHA is that it released 4 volumes compared to 5 last year. If anything, sales per volume are flat, and so far the anime hasn't bumped the backlogs. Also, the long wait between season 3 and 4 didn't help matter. Is it in decline? Possibly, but I think it isn't as vast or alarming... not yet anyway... Also, I would think MHA is already in the veteran status, so unless it pulls a Marineford arc, it might be past its peak sales...

Also, I believe this includes sales from music, DVDs and movies related to the franchise. I'd expect MHA to earn higher for the next 2 months since we have the anime and movie earnings to count for now.

That specific chart that was posted only counts one kind of media for each series, it's tagged in one of the columns on the side. For MHA, it's the manga sales since they are its original source of income.

MHA also didn't have an anime up until now and HQ has released 6 volumes this year compared to MHA's 4 volumes. If anything, it shows MHA's backlog sales are still somehow strong, even without a push from the anime, and HQ's volumes have also been in a decline in sales with the latest volume selling only 300k in two weeks.

BC must be around 2 million or a bit under that since it was at 1 million back in May and its backlog doesn't sell that much. FF got a slight boost from the anime recently, but the series didn't even sell super well to begin with, it might be a bit under 1 million or something.

Crazy what a good anime adaption can achieve for the manga series once it ends and all the watchers can't wait no longer and wanna know how it continues so they buy the entire series in paper. I expected Yaiba to beat OP by 100k maybe a couple 100k but not 1-2 million sales. Like wasn't the majority of those sales done in the past couple weeks? Crazy...

Afair, Black Clover was never THAT big of a volume seller. I remember it being outsold by World Trigger on a volume-to-volume basis.

Also Viz is adding more Kimetsu chapters and speeding up their volume releases on the series because they could have another Western hit like HeroAca on their hands. XD
