Quick bet with everyone, who'd you think is more likely to survive, Yozakura or Mitama? Yozakura has a CP now, while Mitama seems to have the stronger online reception and the author already has a following, so there's argument for it going either way.

Simple bet. Both will survive.

Yes, I hope both survive too. Both stories have good potential to grow. Yozakura has potential in it's cast. At first Mitama's characters were pretty meh, but now that the spirit line has individual personalities is hilarious and brilliant.

Not much on this week's Shoseki (and I'm pretty lazy to type all of it right now) but KNY's volumes are all within the top 30 and have sold over 40k each (Threshold: 30位39200) and still going strong in the daily ranking. TPN and Stone's backlogs have been showing slight drops in both weekly and daily rankings so they might start slowly falling off the charts in the weeks to come. MHA managed to put a few volumes within the weekly top 500 as per usual. OP 94 is still slow, will probably only be able to cross 2 million in another 2 months, which is more or less comparable to volume 92's performance.

Believe actually Shueisha reported numbers, not what OP editor said.
KnY started the year with 3.5M in print, ended it with 20M in print.
What the OP editor said makes zero sense based on externally reported Shueisha numbers, no to mention Oricon.
Once again Oircon did not report anything.
Also print circulation=/=sales which is what the article is talking about.

Sometime this week or next week. It won't make a difference since people will believe what suits their narrative but given how Oircon has been reporting on this for years versus Shuiesha who just now started reporting the data people will raise suspicion over the latter's numbers.

Curious to see what this app will be considering they already have jump+
[ A new app is coming! ] A JUMP App where everyone will appear!? 3 days until release, towards the best JUMP, secure the distance for the approach run!
Hm, Weekly Shonen Jump-only app? Or an app for literally everything from Shueisha in the 'Jump' sector?

I don't get why some people are saying Oricon numbers won't make a difference. We've been using their data and giving it importance for years. Even Shueisha uses it. How else would they have known OP sold more than AoT a few years back? Shueisha's statement is meaningless unless they give the numbers for the rest of their series.

One Piece fanboys are the best, uses data provided by Oricon for years to claim "Its the biggest manga in history! look at these sales by Oricon!", but when the manga is possibly being dethroned for the first time in 13 years, suddenly the narrative changes to "Oricon do many mistakes, but Shueisha don't do, don't underestimate OP!!!!"

Some are already using the article to make fun of Yaiba fans, i want to see Yonkou doing damage control if Oricon puts Yaiba in first kkkkk
or maybe it was all an mistakes, you never know what the real number are for one piece in the end of the year.

fact is, OP will always be the #1 goat as long as it lives. every manga that exist never could beat OP for 13, still congrats for kny ofc being close

Eh, I remain skeptical, it does reminds me a lot of BnHA still. I will read it and see what is going on

"ONE PIECE ranked 1st for the 13th year in a row" ... of Shueisha? They didn't show data of other publishers.
Why hasn't Kimetsu official twitter posted that "amazing news" yet? At least it showed Kimetsu data and explained how it sold well. Others manga, even MHA, TPA,... were treated like irrelavant ones.

I mean it's not like a series need a super clear-cut goal like "Becoming the pirate king", what was the goal of Rurouni Kenshin? Or BLEACH? (Sure later it was to rescue the damsel in distress in turn, but before that, at the very begining??)
I was referring to the late 90's-mid 00's era with my comment about how he's wrong about goals. Kind of a long running joke/annoyance here.

Yozakura already got a CP.
I hope Mitama survives too, though.
