Kimetsu no Yaiba 18 has a first print of 1 million copies. Series cumulative total has reached 25 million in circulation.

But it was literally one week ago at 20M, how is this even possibile?

20 million was for comics only, 25 million is for the series' total (comics, light novels, digitals, fanbook).

I could have swore people were saying the 20 million also included series total, but I could be misremembering. May have been off-site, even.

Seems like this narrows down the studio to most likely being
Bones
Production IG
White Fox
A1
And of those studios, which is free next year?

You're not misremembering, people were saying 20 million was for the series, but that add from before read "コミックス累計" (comics cumulative total) while today's news reads "シリーズ累計" (series cumulative total).

How? Toho produces a lot. Dr. Stone by IMS, Little Witch Academia from Trigger and Himoto Umaru-chan from Doga Kobo are all them. Plus both of Orange's big shows (Beastars and Land of the Lustrous). Going through their Youtube channel they work with PA Works a bunch too.

Production IG has HQ and Uzumaki in the works, while A-1 has Kaguya-sama S2 and 22/7 and White Fox only has Goblin Slayer's movie due next year. BONES has many studios so they are free per se.

I’m just going by the studios they seem to work with the most. It of course can be a lot of other lesser known studios.

I didn’t include Orange because they seem to be focused on CG series currently, and it’s unlikely Jujutsu Kaisen will be CG.
And Trigger has little to none manga adaptations, and mostly does original anime. And if they decided to adapt a Jump manga I highly doubt Jujutsu Kaisen would be the one they worked with as it doesn’t fit their style at all.

I’m also going by the fact that
1. Bones is currently adapting a Jump series, so why not another?
2. Jujutsu Kaisen is a pretty popular title, so I think the odds of it going to bigger studio is more likely.

Trigger also has an anime in the works already and it's due next year.

Toho doesn't really narrow the options down much expect for now knowing it won't be a Toei or Pierrot show. There's a lot of studios they've produced anime from.

Sure, but the revealed schedules can further clue us in, though.

Kanao looks super cute. I knew she would be the protag in this cover.

I think it's across Japan? I never understood why some sources put it as Japan or worldwide. Also, KnY is ahead by 1M. Maybe bnha numbers will be updated by the time its newest volume releases.

Btw BLEACH's highest sale volume (as of the time it had reached volume 22) is volume 21 with 1,260,000 copies .
Bleach's highest initial print was 1.26 million. It's not the highest sold copies of a volume. We have no data of that, at least not that I'm aware of.

Also, might as well post this;

Volume countCopies in printCopies per volume

- You can ignore the right most column as that's basically taking the average of total print by volumes released. Doesn't mean much.

So they announced Kimetsu has 25 million copies in print the day after they emphasized that it came second after OP with 10.8 million copies sold? I know it total print versus physical manga sales, but this extremely huge gap will fuel conspiracy theories or at least makes Shueisha look unreliable as fuck. Kimetsu went from 20 million in print to 10.8 million sold to 25 million in print in the span of 5 days.

And they're going to print 1 million copies of volume 18 out of the gate now? So the constant under-printing of vol 17 was not a marketing move to create illusion of scarcity, but they were really clueless about demand?

SPYxFAMILY’s success is really huge. Totally deserves it, characters are lovable and plot is very interesting so far

Yonkou ruled out Bones. I know it could be wrong but he seems very confident about it.
