These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

It is not a question of underestimating or not, it is a question of being realistic.
In other words, how many manga from the Jump have reached 15 years of publication? Few, and they are all manga that sold scary figures.
That is, even if we go to see the "recent" story of the Jump, we see that manga like Reborn or Toriko, which sold much more than Black Clover, ended even before reaching 10 years ....
Precisely for this reason I realistically give him about two or three years ... which are not few, that is, they would be more or less 30-35 volumes, a respectable figure.
Nobody imagined this time last year that Kimetsu would become a million seller yet here we are.
Tabata has talked about wanting to do 700 chapters before and he certainly has enough potential arcs laid out to get there, it's just a matter of if it stays popular enough to do so.
The last time you were being "realistic" here Yaiba wouldnt even be in the top 5 of best selling mangas so that probably means Black Clover will surpass Kochikame

Yeah, that discussion kind of went from 'Can KnY get to Black Clover?' to 'Wait, is it gonna beat MHA?' to 'Holy crap it's above HQ's peak!' and now to the point people are actually considering if it can beat One Piece VoV next year.

What a weird timeline we're in. . Anyways I always expected for KnY to beat BC. But nobody including me saw "Fighting OP yearly sales and reaching Bnha print numbers" coming lol.

Tbf, we are talking about how long will be a series not how much will sell. The comparation of Black clover being a 15 years series is more World trigger becoming a million seller than Kimetsu becoming one.
We don't know how the original Astra was before the modifications for Jump+. What we saw was just the released version. And at the end of the day, that decision was for the best as the series was able to survive and get an anime where it was published, unlike on WSJ where it probably could have been cancelled.

Well, with that said, I have read it and it's meh. Not offensive at all like it was being said but it isn't interesting for me at least on the first chapter. But to be fair, most manga feel that way to me and rarely they grab me on the first chapter.
I mean, why Yuna is even there when it's out on monday in scan? I think the polls should begin on monday as everything is already out, makes more sense tbh.
Not as bad as I thought, still can see it dangerously attacked because of some jokes in the future. Not like I enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed other debuts, and in all honesty, I'm not liking this round at all for now.
Lmaoo link? Are your memory that bad? You were the one saying in this thread when Yaiba sales exploded by the anime that was "just a normal boost" and laughing at users thinking it would beat Neverland.
And im not talking about sales or anything but joking about your sense of "being realistic".
Agravity Boys I hated about as much as I expected, albeit for a different reasons. I thought the thing would become incredibly uncomfortable and gross, and instead we got a bunch of dudebros acting like obnoxious assholes. Gugh...
95% of Agravity Boys' 1st chapter is too forced. Earth starts a nuclear war 2 days after they leave, a black hole teleports the crew in 3 days to their destination in what would originally have taken 20 years, and then a creature from another dimension appears and gives them a chance to rebuild humanity (which wouldn't have worked anyway).
At least it looks like this "turn someone into a woman to rebuild humanity" plot point is thrown out of the window and they will now search for another crew of female human scientists.
