Aight, so it is the base form.

Gonna theorise something different. In order to achieve Heart, you first need a manifestation of it (so, a Kijin). Only Ryoma fits the requirements. Kin prolly only has the base version of tnk.

Any chance Love is what Camus had? Makes more sense to me.

Even the samurai wording refers to Ryoma. Maybe Nanjirou was the first user ever.

Edit: it would explain how he was the best player in the world and how he didn't know any of this to the point he gave that fun speech at the end of og '-'

No, that shouldn't be the case. Camus' aura was described as something different from TnK. But all three radiances are still TnK, so Camus' aura shouldn't be part of the trio.

Also, to my understanding you're misconstruing the ability tree here. It's not like Muga where you have Muga and then three ways to manipulate the aura, but rather the aura is always the same, but you have three methods of getting to that point. In other words, the radiances aren't upgrades for TnK, but different flavors of the same thing.

Thank you for posting those summaries. They're really convenient.

I like that explanation. That makes a lot of sense.

I kind of feel bad about Oni. At this point, it seems like his whole endgame was to make QP look good. Granted, I know QP is one of best, but still...

I don't think QP is just going to run away with it, though. I think Oni will put up a fight and it will come down to the wire. At this point, to me, it looks like QP is going to win. Knowing how PoT goes, he probably will.

But I also think, at some point before this series is over, we're going to see either Volk or QP lose and it may not even be to Japan. Someone mentioned a while back that Byodoin playing against Volk would be too obvious and that Tokugawa would be the one to play against him. I see that happening too. I'm probably in the minority, but I think Tokugawa will beat Volk if he play against each other. Or even if he does lose to Volk, I think it'll be a close match like Oni vs. QP. I think Medonaire (The Spain captain--I probably butchered his name. Sorry.) or Ryoga will defeat either Volk or QP if Germany plays against Spain.

So right now, the final matches are Japan vs. Germany and United States vs. Spain. If Japan loses, do they play the loser of USA vs. Spain or are they just eliminated from the tournament?

Explanation wise that makes sense, but why would they want to play Oni so bad, if it's basically the same thing?

I assume that the mental derivations are three ways of getting up to that point (TnK), but if that's the case, the aura is still the same, the only difference I could see is that it depends on the boost that you get on your overall base stats and if that is enough to overcome your opponent, in case the boost is big enough to surpass the other player stats.

I'm surprised that Volk knows that much about Tenimuhou and Nanjiro didn't mention the three radiances back then in the national finals. Volk, even being so young, has such a deep knowledge of tennis it amazes me. The guy knows practically everything, he's a tennis guru lol.

Anyways, Oni is screwed, I don't think Q.P. will win that easily, it'll be close, but Q.P. winning is crystal clear for me at this point.

Maybe because the radiance still says something about the personality of the user in general, and it's good experience to play against people with different motivations. I didn't include this detail in the summary because it didn't seem important to me the other day, but right after the explanation of the three types, QP thinks "Becoming strong for someone else… huh.", so in a way this line highlights exactly that motivational aspect.

I guess that's why he's the philosopher.

I was getting afraid that there were three variants of TNK but since you said its just three paths to the same result that is fine. Imagine TNK with three variants stacking or a level above TNK.... To be fair the latter can still happen. All of these auras are getting out of hand.

Very odd. Oni and QP were neck and neck in base but somehow after QP got his power up he absolutely dominated POP Oni. So QP's version of POP is far stronger than Oni's for some reason? Also Oni switches to Kijin does this mean Kijin is a sidegrade to POP? It has its own uses? Cause its clearly not outright better.

Very unexpected that Oni would hurt his wrist here though looking back at how he did the same to Momo in the past and Momo then pushing through is nice to see.

I also don't think we can compare Kijin to anything while Oni isn't at 100%. It also seems like it might be a state past physical limits.

Also interested in knowing what Volk looks concerned about in 283.

This part is a blatant copy of Sanada v Tezuka match when Sanada begins to use Rai. Same electric wrist, same reactions.

QP's new aura is Sanada's Rai, NPoT edition. Oni is Tezuka and he is gonna lose the same way.

Taken from this video posted on nicovid of the tenipuri part of jump festa 2020, incorporating some comments by Konomi himself;

Oni's shot returned from QP, the one where he drew on the strength of the orphans, is deemed in by the referee.

The German players have respect for his resolve.

QP, however, challenges the decision of the referee. (nb: this is the first time that this happens in tenipuri history)

And hence, this is the cliffhanger.

After that, the next doubles pairs come to the stage;

The pro doubles pair, Dankmar and Bertie. Konomi mentions how Bertie is actually 14.

They are up against Niou and Duke, as Camus and Ludovic watch.

(There will also be a poster for sale showing the msers on the front, three years from now, and the hsers on the back, three years ago. The hsers will be in their middle school uniforms.)

Amazing.. this is completely unexpected.. Almost everybody was thinking in this doubles pair will face Tokuwaga and Yukimura.. I think with this context is more clear for all.. It’s possible to have Yukimura and Tokuwaga playing in singles.. and they can even be the opponents of Volk and Tezuka..

I'm really looking forward to the next match, Duke/Niou was one of my most wanted combinations. There's a bunch of Illusion potential for Niou here. Leaving aside Tezuka, he could turn into Byoudouin, Camus or Tokugawa and they would all work well with Duke. Since this is a three set match, he could even cycle through more than one of them, as long as it has about as many chapters as S3 did.

Woah, so Duke/Niou vs Bertie/Schneider? It looks promising. Like Kaoz said, Niou could turn into Byodouin, Tokugawa or even Oni. The possibilities are endless. I’m guessing Schneider will have outstanding power, or some sort of Duke’s destroyer mode, and Bertie will excel on the technical side.

For the remaining matches, Fuji and Byodouin or Tokugawa will play in S2 and S1, while D1 could be Kirihara/Kaji or Kirihara/any Hser. I don’t know where Yukimura fits into this as he, in some way, was also teased to play in the semis too.

I’m really thinking that Duke didn’t face Camus before semifinal..maybe was Niou who faced Camus.. (On Duke illusion) that would be a great combination Duke + Camus.
What do you think about that theory?

For Schneider, there's also the fact that he's 223 cm tall. So rather than just power, he seems like a combination of Duke and Ochi. His serve and reach will be other things to watch out for.

I don't see the point to be honest, it feels unnecessarily convoluted. Of course, if Niou is going to illusion Camus, he should've seen the heart-shaped aura from up close, but that doesn't mean he would've had to illusion Duke or that Duke couldn't have played against Camus anyway. Not to mention that Camus seems perceptive enough to see through a fake like that.

It seems more likely to me that either Niou happened to watch Duke and Camus play by chance, or that Duke specifically asked Camus to teach Niou in some capacity.
