The 'Witch's Guardian' series is a giga oneshot from 2016 with the same title: 魔女の守人.
The other series seems to be from a new author; though I could be wrong.

lol i'm hyped, i remember when i saw the preview picture from the Mashel one shot and thought that the art was super interesting and now it's actually becoming a serialization! Witch Guardian looks interesting too, seems like the author was Black Clover editor, i don't remember a ex editor from a popular series getting a serialization before...

Oh well, the calm before the storm, 5 new series + Samurai 8, Yozakura and Mitama trying to survive, SJ going back to the madness kkkkk

Just to clarify things, both these pictures are from one-shots made by Witch's Guardian author. I don't even find something about Komoto Ichi tho (I assume he is a new author).

Don't forget about We Never Learn quickly approaching its ending, Neverland ending soon, Yuuna ending whenever it so chooses, and Kimetsu and Haikyuu being in their final arcs.

You sure he wasnt an assistant? Because im having a hard time believing an editor would also be that talented of an artist too. And his name and art also appeared on the extra pages from the staff of BC inside the tankobons, and I think those are all assistants.

I just think the writer of that tweet got it wrong/made a mistake.

Yeah, the other one is completely unknown. Tried googling and everything but can’t find anything on it.

I think part of the problem of Samurai 8 is that they tried to hype it as Kishi finally coming back after 5 years away except we already had Bort running the whole time. There wasn't really a big gap for people to start missing Kishi (and hence get hyped for his big return) because he was still sort-of in the magazine for that whole gap with a series that wasn't very good. Yeah Bort isn't entirely by Kishimoto but neither is Samurai 8.

So (to me at least) Samurai 8 didn't feel like Kishimoto's brand new series after half a decade away from the spotlight, it felt like 'oh here's Bort 2, but without the world I care about to hold up the boring bits'. I really enjoyed Naruto's last arc, I thought all the Kaguya stuff was a cool way to end the series, but by the time Samurai 8 came out I was already tired of Naruto spin-offs that keep upping the scale of the battles without a reason for it beyond trying to be bigger than Naruto's final arc.

Now if Shimabukuro or Kubo or whoever returned I'd be excited, they've actually been away for a while so there's been time to get hyped for a return. I doubt Kubo will every come back properly though, I can see him doing more oneshots or a mini-series in WSJ like Kazuki with The Comiq (or possibly a monthly manga in SQ or Plus) but definitely not a weekly manga. I don't think he'd want to deal with the health issues again.

Boruto had nothing to do with Kishimoto as he wasn't neither author or artist on it but only a supervisor like Toriyama is for DBS (with the exception that Toriyama created plotlines and Kishimoto never did). With S8, Kishimoto is the writer so he's actually creatively involved unlike with Boruto.
