Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Not sure how reliable they are, though. Are they just saying what spy and yonk are saying, or are they independently verifying it?
On one end they seem pretty legit. And they also retweeted Yonkou and SpyTrue, along with adding a release window, which Yonkou and SpyTrue didn’t do.

But in the other hand, I’m not quite familiar with them and it seems weird that an official twitter would acknowledge leakers

That person isnt reliable or official at all, its just a YT channel that reuploads anime PVs

Not necessarily saying that. Just asking, is there any arc from Jump that you would(or “would have” if something that was already adapted in the tv anime) like to see adapted as a film, rather than being adapted within the TV anime, like the upcoming Demon Slayer movie and Gintama movie. Movies that aren’t just big budget filler and actually material from the manga
I thought that the two Rurouni Kenshi movies adapted some arcs from the manga but they didn't. So KnY should be the first one to get a canon movie (straight from the manga) in shonen. So from now on we should see more of this, which is something wiser to do instead of bringing fanservice and that kind of unnecessary stuff and wasting budget.

This entire post is just my speculation, there is nothing about a new BLEACH anime confirmed or anything.

Happy for the burn the witch OVA (who is doing it? Pierrot?). IMO that is a pretty clear hint that we are finally getting BLEACH's final arc animated (it will likely be a part of the 20th anniversary commemoration).

Pierrot should probably be "free" after Black Clover and they can make idk maybe a 52 episode series that adapts the last arc or something.. heck I think even a 2 cour anime would suffice, they just need to trim the more "fillery" fights of the arc (not cut them completely but just show them faster or something).

This reminds me of how we got Level E (a short anime) to test waters for the HxH remake.

Idk but to me BLEACH getting a sequel has always been something sure, if Saint Seiya got some OVAs to finish its story then certainly BLEACH can also get the same threatment, I think.

The Burn the Witch OVA is probably gonna be announced in WSJ, which is where all the leakers must be getting info from.

The Yonko MHA stuff is probably from somewhere else (if he has an actual source at all)

Wait, is the train arc only being adapted as a movie or as a tv arc as well?
That's cool though. Easily one of the arcs that lends itself quite well to cinematic adaptation and my favorite of the series as well.

The problem with adapting an arc of a manga (heck, even a single important chapter) in the form of OVA or movie is that it often is not included in streaming deals (or even in the physical DVD/BD releases!).

For example Shokugeki no soma adapted a very important couple of chapters into an OVA... A cousin of mine was watching Shokugeki no soma on Crunchyroll and that very important OVA was not being streamed (I dunno if its being streamed right now, I think it's between season 2 and 3).

But it's not like something you could miss, it was the introduction of a lot of characters that would later become the main antagonist of the series..

So idk.. If this becomes the standard Crunchyroll (or whoever streams a certain anime) gets the streaming rights for the movie/ova adapting arcs because they are essential for people watching the story.

Dunno who posted it first but I trust Spy more than Yonkou, at least he hasn't spread fake info yet. So anyways this will be confirmed tonight with the scan leaks.
Eh, Spy has spread false info many times mainly because he steals leaks from weibo so idk you're acting like he's perfect and there's a chance BTW leak isnt even from this issue of WSJ, same thing happened with JJK and Dr Stone studio speculation

It could be that they took that from Tieba, there's a thread with that info (the release date).

It's a movie which it will release this year.

I don’t think we’ve seen any Shonen series that was a phenomenon get a movie adapting a major arc during its anime run like we have with Demon Slayer.
Gintama is adapting a manga arc, but it’s pretty much done with the series and is adapting final arcs.

I think it’ll be interesting to see how something as big as Demon Slayer will perform when the movie/arc is promoted as being something you absolutely NEED to watch before watching the next season. And if it’ll prove to be something that can work for Shonen series going forward

(?) I don't think he's perfect, I just said what I believe and I have seen. Like Buranchi said, if this ends up being a lie, this topic about leakers won't be touched anymore.

Imma wait for an actual reliable source
Just to be clear, who would you say is a reliable source? The only reason I feel there's some weight to this is because both yonk and spy are saying it, which is pretty rare, IIRC. I know we have @Heiji here, but they may not know anything.

None of them are reliable. Everyone's just trying to get clicks. Stop feeding them.

Imma wait for an actual reliable source that posts evidence with pictures.
No one here takes them as absolute fact though. Right or wrong, the discussion about what to possibly expect in the next couple days is interesting. Don’t really see the harm.
Everyone here knows you Yonkou is wrong sometimes. But at the same time most don’t think he maliciously feeds false info to the public

That sucks, but on the bright side, Crunchyroll acquired the two canon Haikyu!! OVAs for streaming and launched them the same day as Season 4, Episode 1 (before they were even released in Japan iirc). Hopefully that becomes the new standard going forward.

I wouldnt say yonk isnt reliable, he's wrong at times but he's also been right alot of times, in the last few months he was right about Taizai, Kingdom, and Haikyu S4 situation way before they aired/were announced

That's good and dandy for people that can actually watch it legally...

What about folk like me who live in a small city? (We got the My hero academia movie, but we didn't get Stampede) what if the movie doesn't get shown in my city?

Heck, what if it's shown in my city but there's people that start watching the anime a year after it was shown and Crunchyroll doesn't get the streaming rights? (And I live in Mexico, so we won't be getting the DVD/BD release).

What I'm trying to say is they better have a plan to make this available for folk outside Japan in a legal way, otherwise they better not complain about piracy.

I dont trust most twitter personalities who prioritize getting news fast rather than accurately. Unfortunately, most if not all, fall in that category. Heiji is reliable even if he doesn't provide evidence is because of the 1000 things he says, 999 of them will be right which is a pretty good probability. The one time in the 10 years I've followed this forum where he was wrong, he corrected himself before anyone even knew about it.
That's what I'd call a reliable source of information.

Twitter and youtube personalities who go around gossiping and spreading information and arguing and fighting when proven wrong (which they are every now and then) are not reliable at all. Which is why I won't trust these sources unless we get solid proof, even if they are right this time.

No one here takes them as absolute fact though. Right or wrong, the discussion about what to possibly expect in the next couple days is interesting. Don’t really see the harm.

That's where you are wrong. People quote yonkou and others as a matter-of-fact. Happened here last year as well. Discussing the possibility is fine. Its bleach which is something I love. But I'd rather not give these personalities more attention than they deserve via forums like this.

As long if there’s a reasonable gap between seasons and films, I don’t see watchability being much of an issue.
I highly doubt Demon Slayer season 2 will be airing within 6ish months of the movie release.
