Appeal to popularity, next.
I am only talking about popularity here though not trying to say what is better or what is worse, Maybe i should have quoted your previous post
I laughed because a.) it's not the general opinion that it's the best arc (Train arc fits that more I believe)

Also @Buranchi I don't get it, you were joking about someone writing a 5-page CSM essay in the vein of his GoTW (IIRC) essay. But aren't we not allowed to write about established series like that? Was it just a joke?
Yes, it was a joke.

Okay, because if it wasn't a joke you'd be getting a 10 page CSM essay headed your way. :(
You can post it in the CSM section/topic and link it here. With the topicality rule here, you'd have to make too many sacrifices for it to be worthwhile.

I know but it doesn't change the issue that the fight was dragged out. Besides people binge read at different speeds so it may be easier or harder to spot issues in this case.
Binge reading 15 chapters won't take 15 weeks, I can tell you that much.

I liked the fight a lot. It may have been a bit too long, but it did a fantastic job portraying the feeling of desperation, something that kimetsu does really well.

That, and I just liked everything about the arc. The setting, the comedy, the characters. It was definitely peak Kimetsu in those regards. The only real complaint I have was the part with Inosuke at the end of the fight, and Uzui's weird gimmick (like, the score thing felt pretty random, lol).

I don't know why there are people surprised by the Neverland actress. In Japanese manga adaptations it is common for them to change the ethnicities of characters, as for example most children in Neverland, the characters in Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist are almost all European white.
You wanna know why?, it's very simple.

They arent Black

Sure. But its also a Japanese movie based on a Japanese series on Japanese characters. Unless they get a black Japanese actress who can do the role properly, they don't really have much of a choice. I'm assuming the list they'd have for people who meet that criteria is pretty small.

It'd be worse if they got in a black actress from abroad to "act" japanese.
The route of changing the ethnicity is easily the safest option.

I really hope ufotable adapt the entire manga. From an economic standpoint, I see no reason why they should stop and thankfully, ufotable only release 1-2 shows/movies a year with Heaven's Feel 3 being the only other movie they are releasing this year so they might want to keep KNY in the works. Though, I hope that this is the only movie for the series since it will take months for me to find and watch it

As My Hero Academia is WSJ's longest running seasonal anime (80+ epis) with Haikyuu being 2nd (60+ epis), it seems the era of long running adaptations has come to an end which makes me wonder why the production committee of Black Clover decided to to do it

Oh that reminded of this video explaining why this is the era of seasonal anime for WSJ.
(I hope this is permitted)

I am really not fond of the fights in KNY for the most part. The choreography can easily make you lost and they aren't dynamic enough, that's why they look much better animated. Gotouge is better at writing drama and character interactions, which is why I hope their next manga isn't a battle shounen As for RDL, when I started reading KNY, I kept waiting for that specific arc because everyone and their moms hyped that arc and, honestly, it felt a bit of a let down, it felt like any other arc but stretched out. It almost made me give up reading but Infinite Fortress hooked me up. To me the best arc is the Infinity Fortress Arc, specifically because of the 4 fights against Upper Moons 1, 2, 3 and 6.

Funny thing, I just watched this video yesterday and later found the interview and the part he quoted about adaptations

L
Lately, it seems that late-night anime studios like Bones and CloverWorks have been getting involved in making Jump adaptations. You're still continuing your relationship with Pierrot and Toei, so why are late-night anime studios also getting involved?

At Shueisha, we have discussions about which manga would best suit which studios. Some studios reach out to us asking to adapt a particular manga, and we have turned them some of them down before. We decide it case by case. But it's true that Jump is involved with a lot of companies, and we've changed as the years have gone by. It's also true that the landscape has changed a lot as well. These days, it's no longer as feasible for anime to keep running for years, while on the other hand it's more common to create a shorter-length anime to air late at night. There's also the matter of online streaming and split cours. Because anime broadcasting has changed so much, those are factors that we consider when deciding which manga to adapt and on what terms. I think that's the reason why we've become involved with more anime companies than we used to.

So what was the case with My Hero Academia?

In My Hero Academia's case, it was the anime side that wanted to do it. We decided that Bones would make an incredible version of My Hero Academia, so we went with them.

Then there's The Promised Neverland, which is handled by CloverWorks.

That was the same thing. In the beginning, Fuji TV (which owns the Noitamina slot) reached out to us with the request to make an anime out of The Promised Neverland. The fact that CloverWorks would be the studio involved was part of that same deal.

Why did it become a late-night anime? Because of the content?

Yes, that was a factor. It has some frightening themes. Also, to express those themes, they need detailed animation, and for that the animation team needs time. Late-night anime has a longer schedule, so we gave them that.

On the other hand, Boruto and Black Clover are handled by Pierrot. How did those come about?

Well, Boruto is a continuation of Naruto. Naruto was a series that we all had a lot of hope for twenty years ago. We had a lot of offers from various companies. The editor at the time deliberated on it and eventually chose Pierrot and TV Tokyo because they had an evening slot and could reach out to kids. Black Clover was a similar case. It's a series along the lines of our classic battle manga. If we picked a late night time slot for it, it would restrict the audience for it. We also wanted it to air for over a year

So it explains why BC is long-running and the shift towards seasonals but by "classic battle manga" do they mean like Bleach and Naruto or something else

Nothing happened, just giving our general opinions of Kimetsu since someone pointed out that all we talk about regarding Kimetsu is sales.

The series is ending "soon" (on its final battle who knows how long itll take)...or at least I hope.

Off topic but they found a black actress for Eizouken live action

So its definitely something doable but again finding someone who can fit the role of Krone is the hard part.

The Krone question is kinda deep, since for some people Krone-san (Kuro-neesan) herself is believed to be based on a problematic stereotype of black people. So they could have considered that while chosing the actress and outright excluded black people, avoiding the stereotypical depiction to go any further.
We'll never know for sure why they did this though.

There's something deeply ironic to me that a thread full of Bleach fans are debating about Kimetsu's fights being drawn out.
Not sure about "thread full of Bleach fans".
But the amount of whiny fans and readers during Bleach's serialization regarding the large panel and drawn out fight sequences (leading to shorter chapters) was pretty high as well.

I mean, the bigger issue is that Kubo saw fit to have so many fights that were all of extended length. It got pretty absurd, especially as the final arc went on.

Think his decision to give every character their due was not wrong. It would've been wrong to not let them have their moment. People wouldn't complain about it if they were watching the anime since every arc has had extended fights for every character involved. But since a lot of fans joined the manga after the anime ended, they couldn't get used to how Kubo draws his fights out.

Personally, his biggest problem with the final arc was the lack of screen time for the MC. He could've easily balanced that out by having Ichigo fight more battles in the background but Ichigo's appearance in the second half of the final arc was like Saitama's appearance in the later arcs of OPM. It made sense in a way since all the arcs until FB arc revolved around Ichigo but the final arc wasn't really around Ichigo.

My other issue was his treatment of Yourichi in her fight but that's another topic altogether.
