I don't really remember since I watched the anime mostly, but I have a couple of the early volumes. Perhaps nothing seemed out of proportion because other than Roberto most other characters were kids.. So I guess Takahashi has problems with adult proportions, not kids since he kinda always drew chibi-ish looking characters, similar to Dr.Slump or early Dragon Ball

Edit: OR the other explanation is that humans in the world of Captain Tsubasa have abnormally larger legs... That would also explain why they ran for episodes in the same soccer field without ever reaching the goal haha

Also, I'm surprised no one here complains about the minimalistic background in it. Dont know if that changes in the following chapters but I can definitely see how Kubo's focus on Bleach's characters and their expressions etc. with less importance to background influenced this work.

People did complain early on, but it's improved a huge amount since then.

If their legs are longer, shouldn't they cross the field quicker?

People stopped complaining about "Haha Bleach has no backgrounds" because they realized it was a stupid argument.

I wouldn't say that the series completely puts less focus on the backgrounds. Just because they can be minimalistic at times, doesn't mean that there's any less thought being put into them in favor of other elements. Like, for example:

Pretty sure they stopped because Bleach ended. But from memory, until its end, people constantly did whine about it.
People even complained about the lack of colors in Bleach's final CP.

I didn't check the spoiler since I dont want to ruin it for myself. But I dont think minimalistic background is bad at all.
This is a character driven series so it definitely shouldn't be the priority. I think from the first 5 chapters I've read, I did not miss backgrounds at all. It was just apt and sufficient.

It'll definitely get an anime for sure at some point.

Every successful series in wsj gets an anime these days, it's only a matter of time until Act-age gets one.

A live action show would just be weird and couldn't repeat the impact the important manga scenes have (like how adaptations of music manga are always a bit off since the real music you hear is never as mind-blowing as the characters say it is). There's a lot of moments in Act-age that just could not be portrayed properly, like people being amazed by how convincing the acting is, seeing Yonagi properly become the role, stuff like that.

I heard somewhere that all the leaks of the color pages of WSJ came early (wednesday/thursday) because they're from places in Japan that have the Jump before monday's release, like specific places or island or idk. Is it true? In that case is it legal/illegal to share it?

Most shops get copies a few days before release, they need to get them early to make sure they can release the magazines properly on time (videogames and other things are the same way in the west, it's normal in shops).

I don't know about the current leaks but judging from leakers who have been caught in the past, they probably come from friends of delivery drivers or shop assistants seeing the magazines when they arrive in the shop.

Yeah, I first noticed it in the Viz digital magazine (when they were doing that). I'm confused now. So, in these mangas (except Hunter x Hunter), is an ownership joint from authors and publishers?

The WSJ news twitter Raf manages mentioned "rumors" regarding an anime. As for the sources of those "rumors", I dunno, Raf keeps his sources tight-lid.

stuff doesn't always go in order. Demon Slayer started Feb 2016 and TPN started August 2016 but TPN's anime aired the season before Demon Slayer's. Demon Slayer started a full year before We Never Learn and their anime aired in the same season.

Interesting that Kishi didn't want to keep the rights to this himself but I assume that's also because Okubo is a part of this as well.
