Toriko is a nope. It was a big enough failure that Toei had to revive another failure, DBZKai, to take it's slot. At best we'll get a Toriko sequel manga someday.

Reborn is a possibility especially with 00s nostalgia being a potential thing to exploit what with the Digimon Adventure reboot airing next month and of course there was that art gallery from years back with new animated footage but given how poorly received DGrayman Hollow was they'll more than likely push a new adaptation.

What are you on about? Calling Toriko and DBZ Kai failures. How where they failures exactly? I'm genuinely asking btw

I didn't separate my points sorry about that, the a1 and colorido points are separate. Colorido is a twin engine subsidiary which is why i mentioned them.

Yes, but why Twin Engine? They have nothing to do with Bleach and in many colorido works they weren't involved.

He means the anime. Toriko's anime ratings were bad considering it replaced Kai. It didnt even come close to Kai.

With Guardian of the Witch having a good first ranking, imagine Agravity Boys, Undead and Mashle all surviving too, i think this would make the biggest batch of survivors ever on SJ, also, Zipman must be really hated by Japan when even GotW is being better received

With COVID-19 and the lack of information so far, it's probably logical to assume JK anime will be 2021.

Regarding the new Bleach anime, you think its possible for the light novels to get adapted as well? I didnt followed the series, only hearing whats already being said about the ending and how some of the novels filled in some of the gaps left by the manga

To be honest, I think this is likely. Some of the light novels can be shortened and given in various sequences to give some characters more depth during their fights.
I'm intrigued to know if Kubo will give his input for the anime arc as well. He might give ideas for some additional flashback moments from 1000 years ago bit. We will see, I guess.

I was looking at the preview page for Issue 18 and just realized that the author of next week's one-shot is Shuhei Miyazaki, the person that does the TPN comedy spinoff! The girl on the left looks exactly like their version of Isabella, lol. I hope this means that they're eventually aiming for an original serialization in Jump, they have a pretty good sense of humor.

I remember in 2017, it was said to have passed a Million in Print but if I remember correctly, after about another year it was reported to be WSJ's 8th Best Selling Manga (Don't remember if it was "All Time" or "For that year").

I'm just curious about where it's at now if anyone knows.

well, Guardian was above chainsaw man, Act age, Yozakura, Mitama and agravity. That's a good thing, but we have to wait for the next few weeks.

April vols are coming now, with 3 newbs having Vol 1, will be fun! Curious to see how Yozakura Volume 2 sells in few weeks. It will be interesting if it actually doesn't rise or even drops a bit.

Discounting S8 that ended this issue, it's almost the same (with Guardian slightly better). Just because it didn't happen the first time for the bottom, doesn't mean it won't, which is what people are/were ultimately predicting. Saiyuki and Yui and even S8 are all great examples of this.

Looks like the latest number we have is for volumes 1-4, which is 2,063,000.

Thinking about Kubo coming back with a short series, and ComicQ last year, do you guys think it would be cool if this was a regular thing with Veteran artist? A more frequent thing with a few veterans comic back every year for a series that’s 1-3ish volumes.
We probably won’t see it happen, but I’d imagine that even for the veterans it would be a fun project to consider
