Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I never expected Yuuna to last more than 4 years. 2, 3 maybe, but it just keeps going and going while other mangas droped out.

Thinking about Kubo coming back with a short series, and ComicQ last year, do you guys think it would be cool if this was a regular thing with Veteran artist? A more frequent thing with a few veterans comic back every year for a series that’s 1-3ish volumes.
We probably won’t see it happen, but I’d imagine that even for the veterans it would be a fun project to consider
I mean Toriyama did it multiple times, the last one being Jaco. I think it's a cool idea.

Kishi should come back with something new entirely for a very small stint of 30 chapters or so. It'll give them the needed break whilst also making some additional money (not that they need it).

This short series stints do seem like win-win situations for both the authors and the magazine, the former won't need to compete and overexert themselves so much because Jump will see it through to the end anyway, and the latte gets an amount of publicity from their return. Imo it definitely should be done more often.

I wonder if the news at that Kimetsu event was suppose to be the PS4 game and nothing on the film

The aniplex livestream mentions that there will be news on both the games and the anime though.

First page of Yuuna 200. I assume that this is the special project they were refering to?

God damn that was a good chapter of Jojolion, which made me realize... Why hasn't M+ picked up Jojolion? Sure, they'll destroy the beautiful spreads that every chapter (as of late) has, but at least there would be a legal avenue.

Jojolion is Ultra jump. Mangaplus is more for WSJ/Jump+

I guess, But it wouldn't really hurt to put in stuff like Jojolion or No Guns Life in there.

I think Tokyo Ghoul is the only seinen series they have, not even One Punch Man which Viz has so it might just be their policy or something only having shonen stuff

I wonder what story Okubo would like to tell himself. His Art is great and i'll give it a shot. As for Kishi, I wonder if he will make a grounded Series next or take another shot at the Fantasy Genre.

Okubo art improve over the series but still had problems.
Maybe in his next will polish his style and made his own style instead Kishimoto but worse.

MangaPlus also has Terra Formars from Weekly Young Jump, though that's only the first 6 chapters uploaded in January 2019 and no updates since then.

But yeah, it would be nice to expand M+ with some Young Jump series. Kaguya-sama would probably get some good views.

Probably? More like definitely. Just as long as Viz goes after the Edited Mangas. Kaguya’s stupidly popular here.

Just had a thought after reading champion's new delinquent girl romcom, they now have two of that really specific genre.

Yuuna and WNL are about as different as shounen harem's can get in basic setting yet right now they've ended up essentially doing the same plot at the same time (albeit with a different reason it's happening). It's something I don't think any other WSJ harem has done before too yet these two managed to do it together.

Tsutsui and Miura formed a secret alliance.
