So I read Burn The Witch.

To sum this up quickly, since I have other stuff to do, I’m really interested in the world of the series, with all these different dragons and how it powers this alternate London.
I’m not as interested in the characters, however. They’re all kind of basic. Which would be fine, except I don’t really like their personalities much (to different degrees, depending on the person). There are definitely some funny moments here and there, though, and they do look pretty cool.
The story was straightforward, and while the twist was cool (if predictable), I was also a little confused by the end.

Overall, it a decent read, though I’m interested in where things will go once this is serialized.

If the latter, I can definitely see only 2-3 volumes. Maybe 5 tops.

It is pretty funny to note that when Build King & Burn The Witch one shots came out in the same year; it was Build King that was stated to be serialized if it was popular and meanwhile Burn the witch was only intended to be a one shot at the time iirc

Yeah, it is unclear whether Burn the Witch is even a short series, because it was never directly mentioned as that (despite what @wsj_manga has said). We have seen many current Jump mangakas mentioning the games they play. So if they can play them with such tough schedule and ongoing serialization, I see no reason why Kubo wouldn't before the start even!

I certainly doubt Kubo finished all the manuscripts, even assuming it's a 1 vol series of 7-9 chapters.

It's possible he finished the Burn the Witch serialization a while ago, and WSJ sat on it until now.

Guess we will see, you could be right too. Dr. Stone Reboot had a chapter count right when it started, so we will know how long it will last or otherwise misunderstood as a short series.

Did you even read me? It's an assumption masked as fact based on some sentences (video games and manuscripts). He never says that in this text. So that part is kinda wrong. It could be easily true with all the teasing and anime setup being so elaborate, but not official as of now.

This is what i'm talking, the SJ twitter is straight up stating Kubo said is a short-series, not making a assumption, and if is wrong, why no one corrected them or they clarified the topic yet? because everybody is already taking the series as a short (which is much probably the case)
